Fountain House Apartments - Hyde Park, London

You really can’t beat the location. The apartment is in a fantastic area right by Hyde Park, with easy access to restaurants, shops, public transportation, and many of London’s main attractions. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed for two weeks and overall really enjoyed the convenience of the apartment and the neighborhood.

The main issue we had was with the shower drain, which was clogged and drained very slowly. Water would build up while showering, which was inconvenient. It would be great if the drain could be checked and maintained more regularly. Otherwise, our stay was very enjoyable.

Spacious room, clean bedding, close to Hyde park and underground. Having a handheld bidet in all bathrooms was very welcome.

Carpets can use some cleaning.

I liked the hotel’s location. The area was quiet and not too busy, which made the stay more relaxing. There was also an Underground station very close to the hotel, making it very convenient to get around London.

We were required to pay around £750 for two extra beds for just 5 days, and we were not given the option to decline them, even though we did not really need them. I was also not expecting one of the extra beds to be placed in the middle of the living room. The second extra bed was placed in the master bedroom, which was already very small. Because of the additional bed, there was so little space that we could not properly open the wardrobe. The apartment overall felt much more cramped than expected. The lift was very small, and the corridors were narrow as well. The stairs were also extremely narrow. The bathrooms were very small, and the bedrooms themselves were not particularly spacious. Considering that we paid around £750 for the two extra beds for only 5 days, I expected the apartment to have enough space to accommodate them comfortably. Unfortunately, the limited space throughout the apartment made the stay less comfortable than expected.
