The Neighborhood:

William Holt is a great neighborhood for families, retirees, and anyone looking for a serene yet well-connected place to stay in Sevierville. Prime location, just a short drive to Great Smoky Mountains National Park for hiking, fishing, and wildlife spotting

Getting Around:

For the most part, it is a very easy drive. The house is out in a residential area with most of the drive just being some rolling through the valley but no switchbacks or sharp inclines or anything like that. We manage a few cabins deep in the woods with switchbacks and unposted roads and this is definitely NOT that kind of place.

The condo was clean and the beds were very comfy. Almost everything, including Dollywood, was within a 15 minute drive, so very convenient for everything we wanted to do. The hot tub was nice to have after a long day of walking 25000 steps at Dollywood.We did have a bit of trouble with getting into the condo when we arrived, as some of the instructions were not included on how to enter the code into the door, so I had to call and get help, which was annoying after driving for 8 hours and it was rainy outside. Also, there were a few staples I wish were included in the kitchen, like foil and cooking spray, salt and pepper. Basics that I didn't think to buy at the store, since more rentals I've stayed in have included those. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would stay again.

The property was generally nice, but is in need of some repairs. The dishwasher is coming out of the wall, falling on my foot when I tried to load it. The flooring needs fixed with large gaps and coming up in a few spots, which was a tripping hazard for my elderly mother. The blinds in both bedrooms have large chunks missing, which created a privacy issue. The ice maker in the freezer was completely frozen over, so we couldn’t use the ice dispenser and frost/ice fell all over the floor each time we opened the freezer door. These items were disappointing and it’s sad that they have not been fixed - I hope the property management team takes care of this soon for future visitors. Additionally, there were dead bugs on the window sill in one of the bathrooms which obviously detracted from the perceived cleanliness of the condo. Outside of the owners/property management control, there was a very odd man who kept coming outside and watching us when we would come in and out of the building, waving his arms and yelling. Had it been just me it would not really concern me, but with other vulnerable people with me, it didn’t feel entirely safe.The communication was great. The hot tub was pristine and the beds were wonderful. We were able to cook easily everyday with the items provided. There were lots of towels, which I appreciated and the washer/dryer worked great.

Pros: Comfy king bed in master bedroom, hot tub, pac-man machine for kids, location is close to attractionsCons: -Door code could've been easily guessed by anyone, not very secure-Door leading out to hot tub/back area is almost impossible to latch/lock-Spin mechanism is missing in microwave so the plate will not turn your food-No rugs in bathroom, have to use already limited amount of towels on the floor to prevent slipping getting out of shower-No salt/pepper/pan spray in kitchen-Extremely dirty air filter for HVAC-Floor is very broken in some spots, kept catching our socks and snaggingAnother thing I would like to mention, I did not see anywhere that you were not supposed to lower the thermostat below 70 degrees, therefore on one night of our stay I lowered it to 68- (we were hot after using the hot tub!) before we went to bed, and put it back on 70 when we woke up, only to receive a snarky message the next day that we would be responsible if the AC unit froze up and stopped working if they deemed it was "due to us setting the thermostat too low." I was very shocked by this, it could've been communicated in a better way. Overall, it was an okay place to stay. The house is definitely older and not extremely clean, but it was centrally located. I wouldn't stay again due to the snarky message we received though.
