Novotel Malta Sliema

Honestly, some of the reviews are so unnecessarily mean that they almost put me off staying here. I was genuinely considering cancelling because of what I had read, and I’m so glad I didn’t. The soundproofing in the room was excellent. The hotel is very modern, spacious, and comfortable. Most importantly, the staff was absolutely wonderful. And I mean everyone — from housekeeping and breakfast to the bar and front desk. ALL of them were nothing but extremely pleasant, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. Whenever something wasn’t quite right, they were very quick to respond, did their best to fix it, and genuinely tried to make things right. The breakfast area is relatively small, especially compared with some other all-inclusive hotels, but personally I actually liked this. It feels less wasteful, and the breakfast is good for grabbing something quickly before heading out to explore. Also, prices for breakfast outside the hotel can be quite high, so for us, having breakfast included at Novotel was definitely a win. Overall, I’m really glad we stayed. It’s a modern, spacious hotel with genuinely lovely staff, and I think some of the reviews give it a much harsher impression than it deserves.

Honestly, there are a few small things the hotel still seems to be working on. For example, our welcome screen didn’t change to my name; we had an issue with the door lock sticking (which seems to be a fairly common problem there), and some of the lights in the room were faulty. That said, when we mentioned it at the front desk, someone came up right away and fixed it very quickly, so none of these issues affected our stay. The staff was consistently very helpful and responsive, which I really appreciated.

size and layout of the room i didnt get why 2 balconies and huge washroom, but extremely small space around the bed to enter the balcony (like 40-50 cm only) only one big towel, no dental kit and by request you need to wait when is the shift of the cleaner
