A Slice of Tuscan Life

Tucked away near the peaceful village of Stabbiano, just a short drive from the historic city of Lucca, this beloved family home has been a cherished summer retreat for generations. Set amidst olive groves and the gentle curves of Tuscan hills, it offers not just a place to stay, but a place steeped in memory, warmth, and timeless charm.

Passed down through the years, the house carries the soul of a family who has gathered here every summer—sharing meals under the trees, laughter echoing through the rooms, and quiet moments soaking in the golden light of late afternoons. Every detail speaks of care and continuity: wooden beams worn smooth with age, terracotta tiles that radiate warmth, and interiors filled with the unmistakable feeling of a home that has been truly lived in and loved.

Inside, the atmosphere is inviting and deeply personal. A sunlit sitting room beckons for afternoon reading or quiet conversation, while the dining room feels made for long, joyful dinners that stretch late into the evening. Bedrooms under sloping ceilings promise restful nights, and a stone staircase carved beside a rock wall hints at the home’s deep roots in the landscape itself.

Outside, shaded terraces offer the perfect setting for slow breakfasts or evening wine, while the lush garden hums with life. An infinity pool gazes out over the valley—a serene spot to cool off and take in the beauty that surrounds you.

And when the urge to explore strikes, you're ideally placed: from the medieval wonders of Lucca to quaint hilltop villages, rustic trattorie, and the sunlit shores of Versilia, all are just a short drive away.

More than just a holiday house, this is a place to return to yourself. A place where time slows, connections deepen, and the rhythms of nature and family life come into beautiful harmony. A true home—filled with stories, laughter, and the gentle grace of generations past.

This is not a just a rental home, but a soulful home woven with the memories of generations, lovingly shaped over generations. It's a place where every object has a story—a Tuscan hand-painted ceramic bowl, well-loved books, a painting —all gently collected over the years like treasures. The charm here isn’t curated, it’s lived-in: shaped by time, tradition, and the joyful rhythm of countless family summers. For those who value authenticity, warmth, and the character that only time can create, this home offers a truly special experience.

TO KNOW: The caretaker lives in a separate guesthouse on the property and is available if needed. Two friendly Labrador dogs are kept in a fenced area and occasionally accompany the caretaker to the garden or henhouse, always away from guests. They are playful and used to being around children.
