It was a central location on the Isle of Arran. Close to the Brodick ferry terminal for easy early departure. Rooms were clean. Lovely views of the water although we kept the curtains closed mostly for privacy so not really necessary to a great stay. Comfy Breakfast included. Stairs manageable. Sea shanty song night was great. We had parking but be aware it is super narrow to enter. Lovely island! Arran is a great place to visit.
Our room had one bit of slanted ceiling on my husband’s side of the bed. He had to bend over to walk to get in the bed. If you have a bad back maybe not ideal but not a real issue. Dinners were just fair. In the dining room they did not offer much info and were not very friendly. The wait staff was not attentive except one sweet waitress we had one morning. We were very aware we were outsiders.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over recent years. It is a small, friendly hotel with very helpful staff, good beer and very good food. The rooms are always warm and spotlessly clean. The hotel is in a great location in the middle of the village with lovely views overlooking Lamlash Bay and the Holy Isle.

The view is amazing. The staff are friendly and kind. The breakfast felt it could be a bit more healthy, perhaps with a granola and yoghurt option.
I think breakfast has room for some improvement.
