- spacious room with a heating device for when it gets cold (also lots of thick blankets to keep you warm)
- very friendly hosts
- very good communication with Alejandro (in English), who also gave some excellent tips
- nice location in a safe neighborhood
- full access to the kitchen and its facilities
Perhaps it’s a tiny bit on the pricey side (but the overall grade is still a 10).

Casa Rumi was the perfect refuge for my first nights in Bolivia. My room was cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. And the house was very quiet at night for a very peaceful sleep. There were board games and books in the living room, an equipped kitchen for use by guests, as well as laundry facilities, and a lovely garden to relax in. The price is more than reasonable and the location was walking distance to everything you need in Sopocachi. I'd definitely recommend Casa Rumi to anyone looking for a peaceful sanctuary in La Paz.
