The staff were excellent and the food was great.
The rooms could do with a bit of attention. Lick of paint and some tlc around each one. The shower in the room I stayed in didn’t stay up, so that was a bit annoying.

The breakfast I had was a traditional fried breakfast which ticked all the boxes. The coffee from the flask wasn't the hottest and as I like a milky coffee, I'm not sure the milk was either. The locale was great for what I needed and the staff were very nice, very polite and very helpful. They cannot be faulted. The bed was large and very comfortable. There were coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
The room was OK, the bathroom décor was a bit 'tired' and the bath was a bit narrow for shower purposes. The floor was a bit creaky when walking and you could hear the upstairs person moving around when he/she did so. The corners of the room could do with a bit deeper cleaning when it's carried out.

Location, cost, cleanliness and overall feeling were excellent. The large garden was an unexpected bonus. I would Highly recommend,

Not sure what I liked really. Bed was comfy, good coffee making facilities.
Tatty bathroom, room a bit tired. Food was ok but some things shouldn't have been put on the plate- chewy overcooked/old carrots. Chef must have known they were past it!
Room seamed a bit expensive for the condition and size.
Bar had some loud locals which the staff were chatting with-staff were swearing too.
It served a purpose but glad I only stayed the two nights out of three that I'd booked.
Stayed here a couple of years ago and it was much better then.
