Downshire House

I particularly liked the central location and sea view. The landlady, Jenny, was extremely thoughtful and attentive. I highly recommend Downshire House!

Excelente ubicacion a pesar de tocarme una habitacion sin vistas. La experiencia fue 100% self service ya que en ningun momento vi personal del ahotel aunque estaban disponibles via whatsapp.

Late check in and checkout was accommodated with no charge. The property is walkable from the ferry terminal and right on the promenade overlooking the bay. Cozy common room and fun Victorian vibe.

I was totally satisfied.

This BnB is more of a “workman’s” hotel. The only person I ever saw was a 12 or 13 yr old boy, sitting in a parlor on his computer. To give guests their key . The instructions to the door and the WiFi were written on an old piece of scrap paper and previous room numbers scratched out . Room was definitely not cleaned throughly. There was no indication on the listing the bathroom was shared /not en suite. No strong WiFi. No breakfast. Very bare essentials for a lot of money compared to other stays I discovered the next few days as I left early and check in somewhere else .
