A PIECE OF SUMMIT COUNTY HISTORY, REFINED FOR TODAY
Fox Den brings together Americana, Summit County history, and modern mountain living in one of Breckenridge’s most convenient locations.
Originally built as a Sears, Roebuck & Co. home, the house was moved from Dillon to make way for the construction of Dillon Reservoir, which provides water to the Denver area. Its journey brought this piece of Summit County history to historic South French Street in Breckenridge, where it has found a new chapter.
Today, Fox Den has been thoughtfully modernized to offer a refined and comfortable mountain experience while preserving the character that makes the home unique. Main Street is under five minutes on foot, while the Quicksilver SuperChair serving Peak 9 is about a 15-minute walk and the BreckConnect Gondola for Peak 8 is about 11 minutes away. The Free Ride’s Purple Route stops just two minutes away at Adams & French, making it easy to get around Breckenridge without a car.
Outside, a fenced flagstone patio creates a private place to unwind beneath the aspens, with a hot tub, gas grill, outdoor dining, and lounge seating. Inside, the kitchen is designed for gathering, with an island, gas cooktop, and generous storage, while the dining area comfortably brings everyone together. A gas fireplace anchors the main living room, and a second living space downstairs offers another place to settle in for a movie, relax, or simply spread out after a day on the mountain.
At The Tenmile Collective, we believe an exceptional stay is about more than a beautiful place to stay. It’s about thoughtful details, genuine local insight, and knowing what can make a mountain getaway feel effortless. Our team is available to provide personalized concierge services and local recommendations, whether you’re planning ahead or looking for a little guidance once you arrive. It’s part of our commitment to curated care and an exceptional guest experience.
Carter Park is also a short walk away, with hiking and biking trails in warmer months and one of Breckenridge’s favorite sledding hills in winter. The Stephen C. West Ice Arena is about a 15-minute walk and offers skating, hockey, and home games featuring the Breckenridge Vipers. Public skate schedules vary, so guests should check current availability when planning a visit.
Traveling with a larger group? Abbett Placer Historic Cabin, another Tenmile Collective home, is just a short walk away and can provide additional nearby accommodations.
YOUR SPACE
Guests have exclusive access to the entire residence throughout their stay. The home is yours to enjoy, from the private bedrooms and living spaces to the kitchen and balcony, with all of the comforts of a home away from home.
A Tenmile team member is on hand to walk you through the home when you arrive, no lockbox scavenger hunt, no self check-in instructions to decode. Prefer to get settled on your own time? Self check-in is available too. Either way, we’re nearby and just a call away.
