Hotel Cap Diamant

Beautifully appointed rooms and common space. Location close to everything plus parking close by. The staff could not be nicer and the continental breakfast is delicious.

The staff at this hotel is fantastic. The location could not be better. It was our anniversary and they left us a little treat in our room which was so unexpectedly sweet. The vibe is charming. Breakfast and breakfast area perfect. I left something behind in the room and they let me know right away and had it sent to me. I would say that the the service was impeccable. Parking is only a pblock away, once you find it (contact hotel in advance for address for parking lot.) Very convenient.

There were a couple of things that didn't quite work for us, which kept this from being a 10, mostly around the bathroom. The bathroom was so small that there wasn't a real place to put any of your belongings. Because there is a sink in the main part of the room, we left toiletries there, even tho it was a "kitchen sink". I think the furnishings could have been set up differently, maybe a comfortable chair or sofa. A note to older visitors - there is a very steep entry way and no elevator in the hotel (part of its charm). Staff will help you get your things upstairs with a dumbwaiter but this is only a place for able-bodied people.

The Hotel is very pretty, the room was very clean and comfortable, the only thing that was a small problem is the small sink in the bathroom!

I loved it all

This was a lovely hotel with some nice touches such as the self-serve wine and the morning breakfast. It has a nice contrast of an old property with modern touches and finishes, which gives it a lot of character. It was really quiet and a great location. It was also really helpful to have parking close to the hotel.

We were due to check-in later than reception was open, but arrived before it “closed”. However, no one was at the property when we arrived so it took some time to find out what we needed to do to find our room. We were also placed at the top of the hotel and had to carry our (heavy) luggage up 3 flights of stairs - though I was told by another guest there was a luggage lift. As there was no staff, we of course didn’t have this option so this wasn’t a great experience. Breakfast wasn’t clear on the process as there were no staff about when we arrived downstairs. Again, a guest explained that a member of staff would be around soon to provide breakfast. Overall, it didn’t ruin the stay but, we only saw staff when we were checking out so, it was sometimes quite difficult to navigate our stay. I would also warn guests about how steep the front steps are, should they have heavy luggage and/or accessibility challenges. They’re quite steep and there’s an immediate step up from the street which was difficult to navigate.
