Arbutus Inn

Comfortable bed walking distance to downtown and fair reasonable price good helpful staff

Room was cozy and clean

Our room at Arbutus Inn was clean, secure and quiet. It was well located for easy access to the wharf and downtown areas. The hotel is great value for money and has several food options within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry nearby.

This isn't about the hotel itself, just a heads up for people with young children or if you are coming from a rural area and don't experience this in your day to day life. We witnessed a fair bit of drug related behaviour and an overdose in the immediate block surrounding the hotel while walking to breakfast and taking our daughter to a nearby playground. Obviously, this is not the hotels fault and we felt our vehicle and selves were secure on the hotel property.

Location was easy to access. Rental car agent was on site with cars

Rooms were poorly serviced. We had to go to the front desk to request and pick up towels, toilet paper, Coffee, cups etc each day as well as ask each day to have the garbage cans emptied. For the price of the room I felt the staff could do a room check each day to review the above items are replenished. I don’t require fresh bed linen each day or to have my bed made or the room straightened
