Montrose Valley Lodge

Breakfast was fine, bed was big and comfortable, room was clean

Parking was less than convenient - there were only 3 spots near the building, and a lot of large commercial vehicles on the lot.

The room was very clean and had the largest TV screen I have ever seen in much more expensive lodging. The bedding was fresh and clean. The room was set up well. The hotel is well located on the main street. Very quiet, etc. The breakfast had an above-average selection.

The furniture in the breakfast area could use an update or be refinished. Our room definitely needed painting. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Had a swimming pool . Staff walked through the parking lot at night felt safe .

It needed some updating. Walls needed fixing up.

The location worked for us. The breakfast buffet was good The staff friendly, but at times absent from the frint desk. The room did not smell of cigarettes, and they allow for pets (an important plus for us dog owners). The mattress was not too soft or hard the sheets and pillowcases were clean. Huge TV, that we did not use.

The rooms and bathrooms are in serious need if restoration, would remove the carpet and put down something that can easily be kept clean, since pets are allowed. Our bathroom had subsential craks in the walls around the small window. The old room air/heater/cooler we left in bringing cool air from outside but unfortunately it was fairly loud. The furniture was probably the most disapointing. It looked like it was picked up from the sidewalk. The room did not come with a DO NOT DISTURB, we needed this since were spending 2 nights and did not require room service. Unfortunately this will be my last time we stay there.
