Hotel Wave at Rehoboth Beach

We are local to the area and needed to have some home repairs done with short notice. I found this listing and was surprised at how reasonable the price was. I was concerned with booking online because we were bring our dog and I was confused about whether the rooms available were pet-friendly. I called and explained our circumstances to the manager and he happily told us to come down and he would check us in, and that they treat the pet guests better than the humans. I LOVED hearing this and they even gave our dog a goodie bag with treats, they have fresh water out and treat jars in the lobby for them, and have nice walking areas for potty breaks When we arrived, we explained that the repairs could take anywhere from 3-5 days, more if there were unseen issues. He had us pay through the first 3 days and said to just come down and extend our stay if necessary. The hotel was in the process of renovating rooms with plans for the lobby and hallways to be done, replacing all carpet with bare floors. This allowed all rooms to be offered as pet-friendly rooms, as opposed to just a few. The carpet there now Is in need of replacing, but the rest of the hotel was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff was wonderful, especially the manager, Michael. The price was extremely reasonable, especially with an indoor pool and hot tub available. And most surprising, the other guests were also all extremely friendly, sociable, and seemingly happy to be there. I know we were. We will absolutely be going back there to stay after the renovations, just for a staycation.

The current carpet in the lobby and halls was old and stained. Being a beach hotel, carpet was a bad choice for a busy hotel. Thankfully, they are replacing the carpet soon and will have hard floors throughout the hotel. This was a minor issue and after such a pleasant experience with everything else, it's hard to even mention it.

Good location for Rehobooth beach. Price is right. Russell the front desk clerk is great!! Don’t forget to try his pink lemonade!! Ample parking.

Breakfast on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday there was hardly anything. Toast, English muffin, or cereal ( fruit loops or Raisin Bran.

I love the location and how convenient it was to everywhere we went. We also loved the staff and the room!

We booked a room with jacuzzi and it didn’t work. The sink was clogging up.

The beds were very comfortable, and we love the beach decor of the hotel.

Our room was not very clean, hair on the floor in the bathroom, piece of bread behind the bed, comforter was dirty. There was no hair dryer in the room, asked at the front desk for one but one was never brought to us. Breakfast supplies were very limited. Issues with the waffle dispenser. Hotel carpet very worn and dirty in the hallway.
