this location was a total surprise! I do not know why it was rated as a two star hotel… It has all the amenities that a single person, a business traveler, or a family would need. We ended up making several last-minute requests after we arrived late in the evening and the staff were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was great - I was not expecting to have a full menu selection available! I have to travel to Springfield often, and having the ability to bring my family is great-and from now on this is where I’m staying!

my only complaint was that our room was hot and we had to keep playing with the temperature setting to cool our room off.

This hotel was very clean, & the room was so spacious for such a good value. : )

The room was either too hot or too cold, and the thermostat was so noisy. But if you turned it off in the middle of the night you got so cold, & there were no extra blankets in the room. Also, the blankets on the bed were not enough & very thin. Lastly, there was a lot of litter in the parking lot.

Everything... great price, clean, well managed, friendly staff, comfortable, great breakfast, and plenty of towels/toiletries.

I didn't care for the inconsiderate Illinois Civil Air Patrol group taking up so much room in the breakfast area and socializing for so long while we were trying to enjoy breakfast. Also, the Illinois Civil Air Patrol group gathered outside of room and talked loudly even after they knew they were keeping people awake. FINALLY had to call the front desk and ask to have them quieted down. The next morning, three cars, all belonging to Civil Air Patrol members, blocked the front entrance for 30 minutes, while they were standing next ti their cars and socializing. Cars were lined up and trying to get to entrance and they made no effort to move. Completely inconsiderate. I wish the hotel staff could have been more responsive and aware of how inconsiderate the Illinois Civil Air Patrol was to their other guests.
