Beautiful property, like staying at home as a child.
The bar in the basement has excellent food for a great price.
Wall are pretty thin. I had an adjoining room and the couple next door must have been on their honeymoon :-0

The location is perfect. I had a delicious dinner in the bar. Upon checking in, I found out they were having a special event movie/wine tasting that evening, so I bought a ticket. It was delightful. One of the owners introduced himself at that event and told about their renovation plans which sound great. I'll be back.
The room was nice, but a bit tight--but, hey, it's an old, historic hotel, so it wasn't a problem for this solo traveler. I like to listen to TV chatter while I'm getting ready, but the channel selection was very limited and the picture quality was pretty grainy.

Historic and helpful staff!
Made reservation via booking.com and they charged my CC again the day I check out! It was a pain getting the full amount back! Never did balance the total between what I paid to booking.com and what they charged my CC again!!!

Beautiful historic hotel. Staff was welcoming and the reception was friendly.
The bathtub was dirty with salts and graining substance over the bottom. The heaters were dirty and dusty to the point we did not feel comfortable using them because of the odor and fire risk. So the room became cold. The wall heater did not get heat down to the bed level. There was no smoke alarm in the room but the wiring hung from the ceiling.
