Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. Coffee good. Beds comfy.

Very loud air conditioning unit in 227. I moved to 408 and it was better. I was charged over $500 a night for 2 of my 7 nights due to a Gators football game. I had told the guy on check-in that my Dad was in ICU at Shands. He said there was a code I could get to decrease my nightly rate. I had booked through a third party payer and did not know about this code till I checked in. My rate was not adjusted because of that. I paid $1,600 for a five nights stay. I was flying from Europe and did not realize there was a football game and that is why the prices were so high. I think that's highway robbery for an establishment to quadruple the price!

Location was good. Breakfast was good. Room and facilities were good. Room was clean. Staff was courteous.

Parking area cramped--had to park in the outer parking area because of crowds--ended up getting soaked in a rainstorm. The sofa bed I slept in was very uncomfortable--did not get much sleep. For the price paid for a king with sofa bed, it was way too expensive. Had no other choice--price not right, especially since the sofa bed was terrible. Will probably try another hotel in Gainesville.
