I loved the location, its ideal if you’re attending an event at the toyota centr (like I did!). Its walking distance to the venue

I didnt like that the thermostat in the room didnt work, I wanted to sleep in but once the sun came out and it hit my window it was hot asf in that room

The room was clean, tidy and really spacious, especially considering this was the cheapest room we could find, although it was still quite expensive. The beds were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was a great bonus. There wasn’t a huge amount of choice at breakfast, but overall we had a pleasant stay.

Unfortunately, the location wasn’t ideal for us. This isn’t down to the hotel itself, but we didn’t feel particularly comfortable walking around the area, especially in the evening. We experienced aggressive behaviour and were even threatened, which was very unsettling. The valet parking was extremely overpriced at $50 per night plus tax, which we honestly found ridiculous considering the already high cost of the room. There is a 24-hour car park literally around the corner for around $20, making the hotel’s parking charge feel completely unreasonable. For the amount we paid to stay at the hotel, we would have expected parking to either be included or at least be considerably cheaper.

The location and cleanliness

The manager (Walter). We stayed for 2 nights in 2 family King studio rooms and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We arrived around 10pm after travelling from London and were told that the hotel was full and that the King Studio rooms we had booked were not available. Instead, we were offered a completely different type of room. We were exhausted after the journey and really didn’t have the energy to argue, so after about 10–15 minutes we reluctantly accepted rooms on the top two floors, where construction work was still going on and we were told we would be the only guests there. Then, just 15 minutes after getting into the rooms, we received another call telling us that we couldn’t stay there after all! We were then given one double room and one King Studio on different floors, not even next to each other. So after travelling all the way from London and checking in late at night, we had to pack up and move rooms again. The whole situation was extremely frustrating and completely unnecessary. What made it worse was the attitude of the manager, Walter. We did not feel that he was particularly helpful or accommodating, and there was very little sense that anyone was taking responsibility for the situation. We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen, but how they are handled makes all the difference. Unfortunately, this was handled very poorly. We chose Marriott expecting a certain standard of service and reliability, and this experience was nowhere near the standard we would expect from Marriott. Very disappointing, especially when travelling with family. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into what happened.
