Hotel BlauMar Llafranc

The hotel has beautiful views and a calm atmosphere a short walk from Llafranc beach. We were there towards the end of the season and availability of pool sun loungers, tables etc was good. The staff were very pleasant, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It's a perfect place for a couple to have a quiet week away.

The pool is designed to be an infinity pool but for some reason the water level was too low to flow over the "infinity" edge. The pool is also relatively shallow and the lower level makes it even shallower. Parking spaces are too few for guests and staff so we often found we had to park on the side of the entrance road.

Loved this hotel! A perfect size (just 23 rooms), lovely staff, a great breakfast & gorgeous pool area! We were worried about being a bit of a walk away from Llfranc & Calella but we actually didn't mind it in the end. We mainly went back & forth to Calella, just a 15/20 min walk which we felt passed quite quickly. The hotel was very peaceful & relaxing, loved the pool area!

Could argue the rooms were perhaps slightly dated in places, nothing special about the balconies but overall we really really loved it!

My husband and I have travelled a fair amount. But I think I can honestly say this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room, the balcony, the views, the location, the bed and pillows, the bathroom, the shower, the breakfast.. Free parking. I just wish we could have stayed longer.. 😢 The hotel is in excellent condition everything is pristine. The staff were fabulous especially with our very limited Spanish! The town is so attractive and is easily walkable down hill but be prepared for the steep uphill trek. We would highly recommend and would love to return!

Being only a tea drinker a kettle (boiled water from the coffee maker always tastes of coffee) and a small fridge for some milk would have been welcome, especially if we were staying longer. And we would have loved to have dinner at the hotel but there was a power cut, this of course was totally out of the hotels control but their dining terrace was so inviting, and we didn’t really want to leave the hotel at all! 🤭 Beware parking is very difficult in the town, we failed to find a car park and parking on the road is incredibly difficult.
