Sivatel Bangkok Hotel

The staff were all so welcoming and friendly and warm. They really tried to make our stay special. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The incredibly helpful and friendly staff are really at the heart of the Sivatel experience. We were warmly welcomed, and they even upgraded my mother's room so she could stay right next to us. They also surprised both her and my son with birthday cakes — a genuinely touching gesture that we greatly appreciated. Our rooms on the 27th floor were superb: very spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we could possibly need, complemented by spectacular views over Bangkok. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, including freshly prepared eggs made by the chef and served at the table. Once again, the staff attending us were exceptionally warm and helpful. The swimming pool is lovely, while the gym and spa facilities are more than ample and very well maintained. The doormen and concierge service also deserve a special mention — always friendly, attentive and ready to help with anything we needed.

The restaurant food selection is perhaps a little more limited than at some other high-end hotels, which occasionally made us prefer eating out, although the in-room dining menu itself offers plenty of choice. Bangkok's air quality and daytime heat can also make you think twice about spending too long around the pool during peak hours — obviously something completely beyond the hotel's control. We usually went for a swim towards the end of a busy day, when it was absolutely wonderful.

Everything was amazing. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was excellent. Truly a great experience!

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Before my arrival, I informed the hotel that my flight would arrive early in the morning and requested an early check-in. Despite the fact that rooms were clearly available, the reception staff were unhelpful and kept delaying the process instead of assisting us. I booked a family suite consisting of two bedrooms and a living room for four adults. However, I was unexpectedly charged an additional daily fee for my 8-year-old child, which I found unreasonable and was not clearly communicated during the booking process. Another issue was the toilet seat cover, which was already worn out and in poor condition. When it broke, I was charged an amount that was approximately ten times the actual replacement value, which felt excessive and unfair. Most disappointing of all, although I am a Level 3 member on Booking.com and many rooms appeared to be vacant, the hotel refused any flexibility and required us to check out strictly at 12:00 PM. Overall, the lack of customer care, poor handling of guests, and unreasonable extra charges made this stay far below expectations. I would not choose this hotel again and cannot recommend it to others.
