Occidental Faro

The location was excellent - a short walk from the bus station and to the marina and old town. Room was lovely, AC good, breakfast was lovely. Staff in the restaurant / bar - very professional and friendly.

Everything and everyone was just perfect! The location across the street from the marina and five minutes walk from the old city and the breakfast was fantastic and rich it covers mostly everything! And five minutes walk from the train station you don't need a taxi even if you have luggage.free shuttle to the beach and the employees were very nice and we don't forget the roof top to have your coffee in the morning or a drink at night

The hotel is located centrally, just by the marina. It's walking distance to the main train station. The breakfast is decent and the restaurant has a nice view of the Rio Formosa.

Firstly, they will tell you at check-in that you can call downstairs to the reception at any time for help. Unfortunately, 8 out of 10 times, the call will not be picked up. There is *some* room service, by which they mean that sometimes they will agree to bring food down from the restaurant, but for some reason, there is a TEN EURO fee them literally taking the elevator down. The room also doesn't provide a menu, and you'll have to go digging on the internet to find the menu for the restaurant. The food is okay at best, and highly overpriced. The hallways are lit by white fluorescent lights that make it look like a hospital, with a strange smell that is reminiscent of a doctor's latex glove. We will not be returning.
