La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon

The location was exceptional! The view from the room was fantastic and it was much much larger than we expected.

Nothing!

Noisy location, many stairs, expected better quality for the price paid. Room needed a coat of paint. Breakfast looked marginal.

The staff at the hotel were really pleasant and eager to be of service. The location was wonderful-right at the Pantheon, easily walkable to many major sites or bus lines and an official taxi stand. And more great restaurant food choices than you could count! The room and beds were clean and comfortable. Note: they have an auxiliary property that is apparently very close - we stayed at the one that is on Via Degli Orfani 90. The breakfast had a nice variety of options.

Since this is not a hotel, the desk is not manned 24/7. This can be an inconvenience since they only give you one key (there were three of us) and you must have a key to get into the building from the street, another to get into the Residenza, plus your room key. If you want to split up in the evening, you have to coordinate entrance! On one occasion we were inconvenienced when we needed something and the desk person was away at the auxiliary property and we had to wait for their return. Would have been a big problem if we hadn't arrived together and no one was answering the intercom for building access! It would be nice if more attention was paid to minor fixes, like loose wall plates and one of the two toilet flush options not working.

The location was everything for us, it really was in the perfect spot close to every sight you'd want to see in Rome. Aircon was great and the staff were friendly.

It was tight for room for 3 of us, ok for two people however. Construction being completed in the room next door during our stay which was a bit noisy.
