The hotel location is great, very central and a good base for walking from to see the tourist attractions.

Some rooms smell awful! My sons started out in room 113 but I had to ask to get them moved after half an hour because of the drain smell from the bathroom. Maintenance man came and tried to "fix" it, but it still stank. They were moved to the fifth floor and the room was fine until the day before we left, and then this room started to smell as well. I think it may be affected by the weather - we had some rain the day before the smell started. The staff said they were aware of the drain issues but can do nothing about it. Not great for a five star hotel. Also the food and drinks are vastly overpriced - 35 euros for a fairly average buffet breakfast! Watch out for your bill when you leave - everything is broken down to make the bill extremely confusing (in my opinion), so its hard to work out what you had or didn't have. EG. if you go to the bar and order a round of drinks costing 100 euros and charge it to your room, when you check out your bill might say - Bar wine 35euros. Bar beer 40euros. Bar soft drinks 10euros. Bar hot drinks 15 euros. Lots of "mistakes" on my bill which had to be rectified - time consuming and annoying. If you are from the UK and have stayed in five star hotels there, I would say you might feel this hotel equates to a good three star or low end four star hotel. Certainly not five stars.

Location, location, location and the roof terrace

FF&E in the bedrooms was of good quality but poorly installed. The bathroom door would not close.

Water in the shower is not hot enough, and pressure is too low!

perfect location to be close to all the sights, excellent restaurants and cafes. highly recommended for both first-time as well as seasoned visitors. rooms were nice, beds comfy, bathroom large, room service was great.

While roomservice was good, food at the Divinity restaurant was disappointing.

the staff were very friendly. everything was walking distance. the colosseum was about 20 minute walk... we enjoyed and loved our stay, it was our first time in Rome.
