Resorts World Genting - Crockfords

1. Breakfast was standard fare. Egg Station was on point. Fresh fruit juice was something different. 2. Happy with room service food 3. Good that they allow make up room service till late

1. Free hotel wifi was only limited to one person. My wife was unable to sign in as 2nd wifi user. They only managed to rectify it on my last night. That was only after we made 2 visits to the front desk. 2. Safe was spoilt. They replaced it with a portable safe and didn't tell me until I found the extra safe. The fact that the second safe was portable and not fixed to any structure did not give me a sense of security 3. TV channels kept hanging. I had to turn the power switch and modem on and off myself to reset it to get in working. 4. A few of the power points were falling apart 5. Tried to use the steam feature in the bathroom. It was not hot at all and there were no instructions to adjust it 6. The most frustrating thing was regarding the genting access card - The card which I was using was made by hotel staff at the crockford club area service station during my previous stay. They claim that this card was not linked to my genting account, Because it was booked via booking.com - We had to validate the card daily to gain access to the casino. (this step was not present in my previous stay) - Upon check in, I had to wait 30 minutes for them to activate my card and they initially expected me to call the helpdesk myself to do the linkage myself when i just arrived after a 6 hour drive from Singapore. Sensing my displeasure, they said they will sort it out backend and inform me within a day. I have already checked out 3 nights later and noone has gotten back to me - Every time I validated my card, I was asked a barrage of repetitive questions. (I was requested to show my passport each time, asked me if I were a guest, claim the casino at crockford was only meant for platinum (mine was gold card). I had to repeatedly say I was a guest and after a few minutes of verification then was I given authentication to go in to the casino.

As I paid more than RM5,000 for two rooms for two nights, I find the following issues unacceptable: The car park was not well maintained. For such an expensive room, minibar snacks were chargeable. The reception staff were not well trained. Check-in took 30 minutes, and check-out took more than 20 minutes. Only one camera was functioning for check-in registration. When more than three groups of guests were checking in, staff had to share the camera, resulting in a very messy and unprofessional environment. The Wi-Fi was weak. When I turned on the TV, all movies were lagging.
