Excellent place to stay in Cape Town, We liked it a lot!

We stayed at Maarten’s guesthouse for two days and we loved it a lot! Maarten was very welcoming and gave us a lot of information about Cape Town and how to get to places. His place is peaceful, the pool was great and breakfast was tasty. We definitely recomend!

Stay in comfort close to the hub of Sea Point.

Although we spent very little time on the property, Maarten and Phillip made us feel very welcome. I have never stayed in Sea Point, and the location exceeded my expectations. We loved being close to the buzz that is Sea Point. Although it might be construed as negative, the area is not quiet, however, this was not a requisite for us. Access to the guesthouse was a breeze. We will stay at Maartens Guest House again.

Maarten fue siempre muy amable y servicial. Las instalaciones del alojamiento son muy cómodas. La habitación tenía balcón y cafetera incluida.

La habitación era algo pequeña, difícil acomodar la valija, dado que la cama ocupa la mayor parte del espacio. De todas maneras, volvería.

Absolute Empfehlung für einen Kapstadt Aufenthalt

Maarten und sein Personal sind sehr zuvorkommend und Maarten gibt einem gute Tipps für Kapstadt. Die Gegend (Sea Point) ist sehr sicher, sodass man auch nachts bedenkenlos zu Fuß unterwegs sein kann. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet und auch die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel und sauber. Außerdem gibt es einen tollen Pool, der zum Baden einlädt.

Wundervoller Aufenthalt mit super Frühstück und tollen Gastgebern

Die Lage ist absolut genial und in einem sicheren und wohlhabenden Viertel. Man kann vom Guesthouse und von der Straße aus sogar das Meer sehen. Maarten ist ein bezaubernder, leidenschaftlicher Host, der zusammen mit seinen Mitarbeitern nicht nur jeden Morgen ein wundervolles Frühstück zaubert, sondern auch gerne gute Tipps zu Ausflügen gibt und jegliche Fragen beantwortet schnell beantwortet. In diesem Guesthouse spürt man die Leidenschaft in Form von Gastfreundschaft.

Echt een aanrader!! De kamer is klein maar fijn. Het is schoon en veilig. Maarten & Philip zijn geweldige gast heren! Ze hebben ons erg goed op weg geholpen met eerste dagen in Kaapstad, dankjewel!

He was the most friendly host I’ve ever had.

It was freezing cold. The windows were very thin so I could hear the wind howling all night.

Very comfortable stay, great location and views with delicious breakfast

The facilities are great. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are equipped with a coffee / tea station, 2 point wall plugs, heating, A/C and basic toiletries. I love that there’s a guest fridge and a very well stocked honesty bar with a great selection of soft drinks, wines and South African ciders :)

This is probably the best stay I have had.

The host is super nice from the beginning. Told us about all the tips around the neighbourhood and where to visit at Cape Town. Maarten offered much more than what a host needed to offer. Thank you!

Very dedicated host!

Nice neighborhood: safe, calm, with some nice restaurants and bars in a walking distance. Maarten was a very nice and committed host that gave us a lot of useful recommendations to optimize our time in Cape Town. The bed was very large and comfy.

delightful peaceful area to spend your visit in Cape Town.

warm welcome was arranged, despite our late arrival. Maarten is very kind and likes to share his knowledge about the area, Cape Town and South Africa. very safe area, walkable to the stores/restaurants few blocks down. they have an area where you can get some drinks or light snacks.

A nice place to stay.

Excellent host and staff. Property located in a nice quiet area. The property has a distinct charm. The provision of secure parking was a bonus. I chose a small double bed room which was adequate for one, I would think it would be a bit of a squeeze for two. The bed was very comfortable

I stayed at 10 different guest houses during my trip in South Africa and Maartens Guesthouse is definitely my favourite! His warm personality, wicked sense of humour and attention to detail really makes us feel at home. He’s not only a great host but also a very kind friend. Thank you for having us!
