I recommend this property highly. Excellent location, overlooking a piazza. Excellent access to both sassis, which are both right there from the property. Plenty places to eat, have a drink etc. The cafe they use for breakfast has nice baked goods each morning and the coffee is good. Dominico and his family are lovely and are excellent hosts who are there for you during your visit for any questions or needs.

Ticks all the boxes, clean, best location, comfortable and really helpful host. This was my second trip to Matera and I would definitely stay here again.

This is a darling small BnB right at the old town on a nice square, walkable to everything. We particularly liked the location because it was at the top of the Sassi area and therefore had a view over everything. A lovely young woman (sorry I can't remember her name) spoke perfect English, checked us in early, helped us connect to the internet, and made a lunch reservation for us. Our room was bright and spotless with a door out to a shared terrace that overlooked the Sassi. Our travel companions had another room which had a balcony overlooking the square which was equally lovely. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms very nice with large showers (unusual in Italy) nice towels and bath products. There is no breakfast at the BnB at this time due to COVID but we got vouchers for coffees and pastries at a nearby cafe. Parking is at a garage about 5-10 minute walk from the BnB is $15E per day. Call the hotel in advance as directed in the reservation. Apparently they can arrange to pick up your luggage, but we just walked which was fine since we travel light. There are two flights of steep stairs to keep in mind if you have large heavy bags or mobility issues. Remember this is a BnB, not a hotel therefore you need to deal with your own bags and know that there is no staffed front desk. It was a great overnight stay and I highly recommend this accommodation

The location in the heart of the old town is superb. My room had a wonderful sunny terrace with a view across the town. I spent some hours there soaking it in. Breakfast was good but so much carbohydrate. More protein options would be helpful. The hosts were very informative about Matera and suggested an excellent guide, Giulio, who gave a personal tour at a reasonable price.

The stairs. Not a B&B for those who find two long flights of high (riser) steps each time you return to your room, just too hard. I know there is no place for an elevator, so this is it. I would ask to stay on the first floor not the second next time - and pass up my terrace :( I know parking is difficult in Matera (and rightly so, considering its ambience and foot traffic). It was good that the host has parking organised nearby. Clarity about where he would pick us up would have made our first hour in Matera less frustrating.
