Everything! The the pick-up from Puno, the flexibility regarding next destinations, the overall service and communication. Instead of being on a tour waving at the families living on the floating islands, by staying here you actually get to know them. And everything you'd otherwise do on a tour, is also being taken care of by this lovely family, they take you around the community and there is no rush. It's such a unique experience, in this Lodge they go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. I look forward to coming back here!

You stay with lovely people and get a really beautiful view over the lake. It is cold at night, but their son brought me a warm water bottle and the bed had 3 thick blankets, so when you go to sleep you’lll be warm enough! The owner took a little tour with us at night after our day tour to explain more about Uros, even showing us the school which was lovely. Would definitely recommend!

This is very much a true homestay and Juan, Milagros and their family were exceptional hosts, some of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met! We went in the winter and it was extremely cold but the room is set up with tons of blankets and Milagros gave us hot water bottles each night. We also had a fresh breakfast each morning which was impressive given the location! Juan gave us a tour of the islands and there are kayaks that you can use on the lake which is great. Transfers to and from the dock are very smooth and they have Johnny on speed dial who works as a taxi driver on the mainland, he was always available for us!

Due to the weather, the water pipes froze over night so running water into the rooms was limited to the afternoon/early evening. Not unexpected due to the location and time of year!

Cold room in August, though plenty of blankets for a good sleep. Very tourist orientated, even though the owner kindly showed me how the reeds are collected to make the floating island you don't really get a sense of daily life and obviously on a very small floating island there is nowhere to move outside your room. I'd recommend staying in Puno and doing a day trip. My full day in Uros was spent on Taquile Island at the recommendation of the owner. Great trip but you can do this from Puno without the expense of staying on Uros.
