The Granby Hotel

Lovely place to stay, recently refurbished, comfortable bed and sofa in room, amazing breakfast! Easy walking distance for the beach, town centre, the abbey and harbour.

Room a little on the small size, but all the necessities available 👍🏻

Great location, bed was really comfortable! Really great value for money.

Stayed on a Sunday & only served Sunday Lunch, would have preferred a little more variation.

Location was spot on/ we didn’t have the breakfast, had the evening meal and it was great

No breakfast. Location is Whitby. Prior knowledge is an adavantage of the place is a bonus, but would be a let down for first time visitors. Unfortunately, due to nature of building there is no ameneties for disabled. THIS IS NOT THE OWNERS FAULT. I would not be able to comment on the food as I did not have a meal there. However, I only saw empty plates being returned. A fair array of drinks available at a local Whitby price. You have to be fit as it is a walk down into town, and of course the long walk back to accomodation. Please do not expect more than what you pay for, and remember; your are visiting a beautufl town, so accomodation of any sort is short.

No matter where you go, there is no place that can cater for each individual. Certain areas in the town, however like to exploit the fact you are a tourist or a visitor and will take advantage of your purse strings.
