This house is amazing! The layout is perfect for large groups, we had a party of 10 day for a long weekend and had plenty of space between the comfy couches in the living rooms and the 2 porches we never felt cramped! The house is walking distance to almost everything in Tybee, and the beach is only a block away! The outdoor shower was great and we never ran out of hot water even with 10 girls showering! 10/10 I would recommend this as a place to stay on Tybee!

The house was cute. An easy walk to the beach and IGA . Plenty of outdoor seating areas. We used the screened in porch upstairs the most. The outside shower was the best shower. Kids loved it. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Very small “starter kit” from other places we stayed at. Kelly was very helpful with a few issues we had. Loved everything- the kitchen area is small so if you are a family that likes to cook this may be an issue for you

The cottage was wonderful and met all our needs. It is an older home, but it had the feel I wanting my family to experience. I have been going to Tybee for over 50 years and I love the old beach town vibe. The downstairs is a little musky, so maybe not good for someone with asthma or allergies but very clean. Upstairs is Great - beautiful porches and decorated just as pictured. Everyone loved the outside shower. Also, Tybee Cottages handled any questions I had in a timely manner. I accidently left a belonging, and they retrieved it for me and mailed it in a timely manner. GREAT OVERALL EXPERIENCE

The house was amazing and fit our family perfectly. It was a short walk to the beach and IGA. The surrounding neighborhood was very nice and I chatted with one of the new neighbors there. I would highly recommend this property. The porches, downstairs, front and screened were all HUGE hits.

My family and I enjoyed our week on Tybee in this great cottage. It had plenty of space to stretch out and the area was very walkable for our dogs. We had plenty of parking for our small boat to cruise the creeks in the afternoon, and checkout the downtown at night.

Downstairs was a little rough. Needed more than one dehumidifier as rooms were damp. Ended up relocating the family to the upstairs bedrooms due to dampness. Overall property was cute. It's cottage living. Beds pretty uncomfortable, but we survived :)

The only positive is good beach access. The pictures online must be a decade old. The property is very dingy and run down. The kitchen is tiny - almost unusable - with an ancient stove. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor with outside doors which is weird, with a weird bathroom setup, also with an outside door - this whole area is scary and smells gross - very musty. Almost all curtains are too small to cover the whole windows - no privacy. The AC broke in the middle of a very humid night - it was unbearable. Overall experience was YUCK - couldn't wait to leave.

Very disappointing it was not very clean the air vents were absolutely filthy and I found it to be somewhat dangerous with just hook and eye locks on screen doors …and then the downstairs area you could not get from one of the bedrooms to the bathroom without going out of your bedroom and into the bathroom. but then you couldn’t lock the bathroom so whoever was in that bedroom couldn’t access it through the nite unless it was left unlocked. Anybody could’ve walked right through those screen doors. And through the bathroom to one of the bedrooms at night. I did not feel safe. The “yard” was uninhabitable. And for the money spent it was quite disappointing.

There was so much room for all of us with the two levels and outside areas to relax. We would certainly come again.
One comment was that the beds were so comfortable, we wanted to know where they bought their mattresses.

The property was exactly what we expected. It was light and airy and super comfy. We had all the amenities we needed plus some. The outdoor shower and the daybed on the screened porch were both favorites with our group. Beach access was easy and the grocery store is just a short walk away.

This house was perfect! being a dog lover, it had lots of dog warming pictures, cute sayings, etc. Fenced in yard made it convenient - short walk to the beach was awesome, and the room that the house had was perfect for my family of 10. This is probably my most favorite home that I have stayed at on Tybee and we have been coming here since 2007.

Our only hiccup was the AC stopped working as soon as we got there but the management got someone out promptly and fixed the issue. Other than that, beautiful place and close to beach and downtown area.

Our family of 10 stayed here and absolutely loved it. The proximity to the beach was amazing and the decks and porches were where we spent most of our time. Also, the outdoor shower was amazing. There were two flaws. First, the oven wasn’t working. Second, there were rodents in the walls. Overall, we’d stay here again.

Eight of us stayed at the property and the house was perfect for us. Plenty of space and very comfortable and the large screened porch was a huge plus.
The beach was so close, which we loved, and there were plenty of beach chairs and towels for us to use. The outdoor shower was, also, a big hit.
Property managers couldn't have been more accommodating. We had two small requests and the managers took care of them right away.
In the future I would definitely stay again.

Proximity to the beach was great. The kitchen was very small and rather difficult to prepare meals for 10 people. The living area was also too small for 10 adults to comfortably enjoy. We experienced some leaking from the upstairs bathroom and in the downstairs bathroom as well which dampened the floor to the adjoining bedroom. Night time brought out some extremely large cockroaches, and we were very disappointed to learn that dogs are not allowed on the beach at Tybee at any time. We thought with a name like "Island Dog Cottage", dogs were welcome. Overall, we had a good time with good friends. The little hiccups make for more entertaining stories.

This was a big group - three generations of a family - who came to Tybee on the first anniversary of our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother's passing to spread her ashes at the place where she lived for the happiest 25 years of her life. The cottage was exactly what we needed. It was important for several family members to bring their dogs, and the configuration of rooms/beds matched our sleeping arrangement needs. Everyone loved the cottage; in particular several people specifically praised the Traditional Tybee Home experience, but with an updated beach-design flair.

I rented this house for a girls weekend over Labor Day weekend and could not have asked for a better place to stay. It easily accommodated the 10 of us and was in a great location. The screened in porch was awesome especially during a rainy afternoon. The property manager was easy to work with and provided quick responses to my questions. The house itself is old so therefore it has old trimmings and do not expect it to be anything else. But it has wonderful character and lots of entertaining space. It was perfect for my large family of 8 and one dog. It has steps but that did not bother us but if you have trouble with steps, this is not the house for you. I was most pleased with the rental agent’s response to some concerns during our stay. The television did not work properly and within one day we received a new one! And when the A/C went out on Sunday morning, it was fixed within hours! Unfortunately, issues sometimes happen while staying in rental homes.And although we did have to contact the rental company, which I hate to do, the response and action here was excellent.
