Yvette and Michele were wonderful hosts — warm, welcoming, and so helpful with clear instructions on how to find both the accommodation and the parking, which made arriving effortless. The room itself was a real treat: beautifully and modernly furnished, spread over two cosy levels. And the location is simply stunning — perched at the top of the village with gorgeous views over the valley. Breakfast was a highlight in its own right, served right in our room, with a choice of options and the loveliest fresh, local products, plus a delicious homemade cake. One small but much-appreciated detail: the covered parking nearby has 2.7m clearance, which made it easy to fit our car with its roof box — not something every place thinks to mention, but it made a real difference for us. We only had a short stop in the beautiful Aosta Valley on this road trip, but B&B éve was easily one of the highlights. We'll be back — and we already know exactly where we're staying!

Our hosts took great care to ensure that our stay was enjoyable, such as providing an easy-to-follow guide to find the free covered parking and then make our way to the appartment, which is close by. In addition, a host waited in the street outside the appartment just to make sure we found it, before letting us in and showing us around. The situation is charming, in a hamlet just uphill from the main village. That means driving an extra km on a rather windy road (no problem with the directions provided), but the reward is that you stay in a quiet place, surrounded by traditional Valdostan mountain village houses. The appartment was extremely clean and tidy, and the host who welcomed us took took care to explain where everything was and how it worked. The interior arrangement of the apartment is unusual, quite striking and it was interesting, especially for our two children. They immediately noticed that the appartment contained a nice selection of games of different sorts. The fridge contained a small selection of correctly priced beers and other drinks, and even has a small freezer section, big enough for a couple of cooler bricks. The breakfast was really excellent, as the hosts made a big effort to provide different choices using many delicious things in generous portions, all locally sourced and carefully explained by the host when she brought the breakfast at the agreed time in the morning.

The arrangement of glass walls and doors for the shower, washbasin, bidet and WC is rather complicated. Combined with the automatic light switches, it is not possible to use the WC during the night without lighting the downstairs bedroom.

Le petit déjeuner, bien qu’il faut le commander le veille, est correct mais sans possibilités d’en reprendre.

Pour une chambre d’hôtes, pas d’hôtes , mais une communication téléphonique. Pour arriver à la chambre du dessus, 17 marches extérieures. A l’intérieure une conception non réfléchie, alors qu’il y avait d’autres possibilités bien meilleures . Par exemple, le lit ( très étroit posé contre un mur-donc pas d’accès d’un côté ) se trouve sur un palier accessible par un escalier métallique d’une vingtaine de marches alors que le wc, lavabo et douche sont au réz !!. L’accès au coin sanitaire se fait par 2 portes vitrées s’ouvrant à contre-sens et se gênant mutuellement. Le lavabo ne dispose pas de rangement, la douche étroite mouille tout le reste ( mais une raclette est prévue pour vous faire le service !! ) . Pour avoir de l’éclairage dans cette douche, il faut allumer l’ensemble de la chambre. Dernière remarque, il y’a une faible lèvre à la marche supérieure de l’escalier métal et donc si comme moi vous l’accrochez vous risquez de dévaler. Dernière chose déplaisante, le matin du déjeuner, sans doute pressée, la dame est arrivée directement avec le terminal de paiement en demandant de laisser la clé à l’intérieure et d’accrocher l’avis pour que la chambre soit nettoyée lors du départ.
