The experience is the architecture and history but the staff make it extra special. The breakfast was super and room always spotless.
I walked a lot of places but easy to get a car/taxi too.

Number 11 is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and is within walking distance of both the famous Barefoot gallery and Gallery cafe .
It is a beautifully and lovingly preserved property with countless fascinating art works and artefacts belonging to Geoffrey Bawa , many of which were created by famous artist friends . So much to look at and admire in every corner , nook and cranny of the property . Staying here for a couple of nights in 2 different rooms each night was such a treat and the staff Rohana and Priyantha made my stay extra special and memorable with their warm hospitality .
Breakfast on both mornings was superb .
The bathroom in the suite on the first floor was a little too small and could use a makeover .

Everything! The apartment had amazing energy and so perfect to learn about Geoffrey Bawa’s work and life and legacy. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Walking distance from The gallery and close to many good restaurants, shopping areas, and GB’s foundation.
