Check in was great, employees super friendly. The room was not clean. Bugs on back of couch, bugs on floor, greasy looking stuff on table and desk. Non refundable room or we'd have left.

First impressed when you walk into the hotel is weathered upholstery in the lobby)breakfast area. It was really unattractive and why it hadn't been fixed is perplexing. In addition, we forgot spare socks so bought new ones and they became filthy walking around the room for a couple hours..we threw them away. The staff is outstanding! Everyone we encountered greeted us and was friendly with good recommendations. Beds comfortable, bathroom clean. Breakast good with several choices. Outstanding location right in the middle of everything. Upkeep would make it a 10.

Needs a lot of upgrades. Torn carpet, old furniture and I’m surprised they have not lost the Hampton franchise due to standards. AC did not work in room but they moved us to a suite that was in the same dated shape. I did tip the front desk and maintenance guy $20 each. I’m sure they have a tough job with complaints.

Our stay coincided with the arts and crafts festival. We didn’t know that until we checked in. Was amazing. Perfect hotel!

The rooms are outdated and filthy. The amount of dust on the walls, curtains, and furniture was absurd. We had a room with 2 queen beds and a balcony at $254 a night (through hotels.com but if you book directly its $332) and one of the beds was a rollaway. Not sure if the bed was broken prior to our stay and they just stuck a bed on wheels there hoping we wouldn't notice. It was much lower than the other bed and extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast and location were the only decent things about this hotel. Downtown Fairhope is a beautiful place with pricey shops and restaurants. For this being centrally located in downtown, this hotel should exceed expectations. It definitely does NOT.

Great location! You can walk to anything. Room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. Breakfast was good. Coffee was good. Bed is comfortable but they need new pillows, so be sure to bring your own. We would certainly stay here again — with our own pillows.

The hotel is under renovation. The rooms are very dated and the bed was hard as a rock. The breakfast in the morning was very good.

Beautiful hotel. Enjoyed the bar area as well. Only complaint is I requested a blanket at night and was told it would be brought up but it never arrived. Tried to call guest services back and they stopped responding.

Hotel is desperately in need of update: scuffed and worn furniture, stained carpet and upholstery.
Construction next door. We were given a room with scaffolding, bricklayers and machinery 10 feet outside our window despite the hotel being less than a quarter full.
Someone tried to enter our room while we were sleeping due to front desk rebooking the same room. (Again, hotel was quite empty). When we went to desk to get new room keys as ours had been deactivated because of their error, the young man at the desk did not acknowledge the error or even say hello and give eye contact while preparing new keys. Desperately in need of training.
When we checked out they couldn’t verify our booking because our room was under the name of the person they rebooked it with in error. Management acted like we were the idiots.

Hotel was more than adequate but less than great. New carpet would be a plus and a much needed update. Also, a never-ending smell to the room…cleaning products or something?
On a positive side, we had a nice experience, staff very friendly and great breakfast selections.
We were in fairhope for a soccer tournament, and it was Halloween time, so streets were blocked off for traffic making it difficult to find our way around. My ONE complaint is the construction going on next door, making parking a struggle.
Would recommend with some tweaks.

The room was not ready for about an hour after the 3:00 check in time. Once we checked in, though, things were fine. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you .

It was an amazing trip with my sister. Great location right in the shopping district. All the nice restaurants and stores within walking distance.

Location Location Location - love staying here. Best restaurants are in walking distance as is shopping and the Pier. Used the pool for the first time and enjoyed the solitude and amenities. Note, they will be going through a renovation in the next 18 months so some things have aged. Don’t let that stop you from staying here. Still a great value.
