Great host and beautiful apartment in central location. Sofia graciously supplied coffee and tea and there are stores right around the corner. We parked for free accross the street for the entire week

The apartment was clean and comfortable for 3 adults. It was in an ideal location to get to our conference as well as close to the tourist areas and great restaurants in Porto. Sofia was very attentive and helpful for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this apartment and if I am ever in Porto again, would be happy to stay here.

Located in the historic area on a narrow quiet one way cobbled street.. Walking distance ( downhill ) to the Douro River and many taverns, restaurants, cafes and places of interest. Wonderful host who provided lots of useful information. Very easy walking distance to lots of local attractions and the river. We would not hesitate in recommending this property and would love to return and spend more time in beautiful Porto.

The apartment is lovely and located right next to the heart of Porto. Sofia is a wonderful host! She met us at the apartment to hand the keys and explain everything we needed to know. Gave us a lot of information about the area and things to in our short two days -- and greeted us with a beautiful bottle of Port wine. Besides generally enjoying the old city, I highly recommend Taberna Real do Fado, just a couple hundred steps away, for a fantastic 3-course dinner accompanied by local fado singers. Our visit to Porto was overall a real treat. Many thanks to Sofia for your excellent orientation and for the fabulous home away from home!

Loved our stay in Sofia's apartment. She was super communicative and the apartment was perfect for our family of three. We walked everywhere from this location - it's central for exploring Porto. We loved the historic vibe of the apartment. Highly recommended.

The condo was everything it said it would be. Claudia was very helpful when we arrived much earlier than expected. We spent most every day at the beach. The old town is very close but there are also good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Thank you Claudia!

The place was very nice and in a good location. It is on a the side of a hill though, so, be careful with your luggage. Sofia was an excellent host. We had some train delays and she was very accommodating with our check-in time and greeting us. She took the time to show us the place, make recommendations on the map, and even had a bottle of Port waiting for us.

Sophia’s place was the perfect home for our 4 person family during our week in Porto. A great location for easily walking to all of the old city and sights while avoiding g the crowds of daily shopping streets.

The kitchen is particularly inviting and could accommodate family meals around the large dining table for sure. The home is well equipped with amenities also; from the dishes and linens, to the internet, and cable TV service. Everything was present and functioned well. Sofia offered a very quick but thorough check-in, including a great orientation to Porto and sightseeing recommendations. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend this home away from home!

The apartment was great, had everything we needed, the location was amazing, easy walk to everything .

Sofia was amazing which made everything that much easier. The location was awesome, walking distance to pretty much anywhere and everywhere you want to go. She was nice enough to sit down with us to give us recommendations as to where to go, what to see or what wines shops to visit. It was a great place with a great feel. Also, there is no air conditioning, but there are fans. It was not an option to sleep with the windows open as there was too much noise for the nearby viewpoint of the river and restaurant/bars. Otherwise, with windows shut, the apartment is very quiet and convenient. Our only issue was that we were in Porto during an unusually warm couple of days so it was hot upstairs in the bedrooms but not unbearable. Otherwise the apartment is great and I can definitely recommend.

Maison moderne dans un quartier ancien très bien situé. Cuisine bien équipée et agréable pour 6 personnes tout comme le salon. Terrasse trop sombre pour être agréable mais bien utile pour sécher du linge ou laisser des chaussures. Deux belles chambres. La troisième avec lit tiroir est bien pour une adulte ou deux enfants ou deux jeunes adultes.

Très bonne location au centre ville de Porto, dans une ruelle calme (mais pentue proche de 35%!), proche des attractions centrales. L’accueil et les conseils de la propriétaire ont été les bienvenus, même si nous connaissions déjà la ville. Maison ancienne rénovée à la décoration sobre et réussie Petit patio permettant de se démarquer d’un appartement. Parking gratuit plutôt facile devant la maison et dans la rue adjacente, un plus quand on est véhiculé ! Nous avons regretté un manque de luminosité et un peu d’humidité, inévitable au centre de Porto et si proche du Douro. Nous reviendrons certainement !

Sophia met us at the apartment and showed us around. She took care to review map of Porto showing us locations of grocery stores, favorite restaurants and must see sights. She reviewed rules of the house and some idiosyncrasies to make us feel at home. It was a wonderful place for us —- 3 bedrooms & 2 baths — perfect for 3 women traveling together. The location was perfect We walked everywhere. The kitchen was very well appointed and she even had some ruby port there as a welcome. We all agreed we’d go back in a heartbeat.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here, the owner was most helpful with very useful ideas and tips to experience Porto, it's sights and restaurants. She was also responsive when domestic issues needed attention. Beds were comfortable and the area fairly quiet except for Saturday night. The terrace that appears attractive in the promo might be that in mid Summer but is situated at ground level with 3 levels of building on all sides. So it was cold, dark and damp with no sun at all by early October, despite Porto still being quite warm. We didn't use the area all week despite temperatures in the mid 20s (C). The apartment had a few annoying features that the owner should address, some due to poor build /workmanship and others, design, that you'd not expect in this price bracket. We could not lock either bathroom/toilet door, they tended to slide open so we ended up resorting to wedges for privacy. Lighting in the kitchen / meals area is very restricted. There is no lighting along one main wall and the opposite wall only has down lights making any kitchen activity difficult. Better lighting should be installed. The only window in this area opens out directly on the street so passers-by tend to look straight in if opened for ventilation. This window is shuttered but these are broken and difficult to close, as one must do for security. None of these is insurmountable so hopefully fixing will make this an even more enjoyable place to stay.
