About this house rental
Nestled in Canyon Lake, this charming house for $148 per night is a great choice for your next trip. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing vacation on Canyon Lake this is the place for you! After a day out on the water, come back to the house, relax, and kick back on the deck as you gaze out over the beautiful views of the lake. The house is in a perfect location to accommodate everyone's interests. We are on the South Side of the lake. We are 5 minutes from Comal park ( there is a boat launch, playground, and roped off swimming area), the neighborhood swimming pool and The Canyon Lake Golf Course. We are 15 minutes from the Whitewater Amphitheater. We are 20 minutes from the historic town of Gruene where you can tube down the Guadalupe River, shop for antiques, drink wine, dance at Gruene Hall, or just enjoy dinner at our favorite restaurant The Gristmill. In addition, we are 25 minutes from New Braunfels, where you can find the biggest water park in Texas, Schlitterbahn. We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving and it was so nice and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the needed utensils and the pantry was well stocked with incidentals. We all enjoyed the abundance of wildlife that visited the property daily. This property is a must if your visiting the Canyon Lake area.

We rented this place for our girls trip and loved it! Very spacious. The back deck is huge with a view of the lake and hills. Everything was provided, so we didn’t have to worry about bringing a bunch of stuff. Tucked away but conveniently located to entertainment and stores. We will be back!

Bigger than we thought, with 2 full bathrooms, a huge deck with a view and a fenced yard for the dog. Excellent location for a Canyon Lake vacation.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and clean. The back deck was fabulous and the porch swing was the perfect touch. I loved that my dogs had place to run and play in the fenced yard. 10/10 recommend!

I was amazed at the huge cover back deck and the endless Vistas of not only the lake but the entire canyon that was in plain view. It had many more features and amenities that was not mentioned.The home is well equipped and not lacking in anyway. We liked the fact it felt lived in and not just stagged for pictures. Kristi was a great host and very responsive. We will definitely return.

Loved the covered back porch and the view. (Will be nicer when the lake level is back to normal.) Glad the fenced area was designed well enough to keep my energetic pups contained - even when they really wanted to go say hello to the deer. Lots of wildlife in the area - we saw a fox on our evening walk. Only issue was a neighboring house partying outside loudly late into the night, but I always pack earplugs anyway.

We had a wonderful weekend here. It was peaceful and the view was lovely. The house was clean and we appreciated that we were able to bring our pets. Be aware there is multilevel stairs that decend to the backyard. It wasn’t a problem for us, however. The master bed was very squeaky so we didn’t sleep well. The mattress was good but the box spring needs replaced. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying there.

I really enjoyed my stay. It's a cute house, with everything you need. I needed some R&R and it was very, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. My dogs really enjoyed the dog run as well.

We stayed in this property for a month starting the second week of December. We were traveling with our two dogs so a dog friendly VRBO was required. This house was perfect for us with a very large fenced in yard and large deck in the back of the house. Our dogs really enjoyed watching nature while on the deck.
The furniture is dog friendly and floors are solid surface so easy to clean up dog hair or sandy foot prints. We always bring quilts to put on the beds and the owner asked that we put sheets on the couches.
I brought my sewing machine and worked on projects on the large dining room table. I brought an iron and ironing pad but used the owners ironing board and iron.
We had plenty of room for family dinner with relatives that live in the area. We found the kitchen supplied with all the utensils we needed for cooking and baking for the holidays.
The area is good for dog walking and listening to the sounds of various birds, viewing deer and foxes, and just relaxing with a lake view.

We stayed for Thanksgiving. The house had everything we needed. Very nice property. Beautiful view off the large covered deck. The dogs had a great time also they loved the dog run.

The place was clean and it was really well-kept. I loved her decorations of everything she had up on the walls. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again. My dogs loved the deer.

We had such a fun and relaxing time here! The house is super cute and our pups really enjoyed the fenced in yard. We spent most of our time on the amazing patio enjoying the view and feeding the deer. :) The only complaint I have is the outdoor grill really needs to be cleaned or replaced.

From start to finish, this property is absolutely amazing. We spent most of our time on the back porch. The property is fully equipped with everything you need. The house was very clean and roomy. Every day all day, there was wild life all over the place. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend this property to everyone looking for a getaway from the city.

The house was extremely clean! Location was great for what we needed. The only reason I gave overall rating a 4 was because everytime I turned over in the bed either the mattress pad crinkled and made noise or the bed frame squeaked. I tried both beds and there was extra noise that came with both. Would not have been a big issue but I had a 3 year old next to me I was trying not to wake. However, it would not prevent us from staying there again.

The back porch on this property was fantastic for viewing the lake, sunsets, and all the wildlife! Close proximity to everything we wanted to do. Very much enjoyed our stay.

We booked for a family function and this place exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful, clean, warm, and bright at the same time. Everything truly felt like home away from home and the pictures of the view don't do it justice. It's breathtaking! My kids explored everything and loved feeding the deer. I think playing cards on the deck was my favorite part. :) My family had the BEST time thanks to Kristy and her amazing home! Would definitely book again.
