About this house rental
Our vacation cottage is located on a 1/2 acre corner lot (Lake Street and Highway 35) within walking distance to downtown, marina and restaurants. The cottage has two available units to rent. Rent one or both! Each Cottage has their own separate entrance. There is a small back porch that is between each cottage. Cottage #1 has 3 bedrooms, 1 full bath and sleeps up to 9 people Bedroom 1~ Queen bed, trundle bed Bedroom 2~ 3 Twin beds (upstairs) Bedroom 3~ 2 Twin Beds (upstairs) Cottage #2 has 1 bedroom, 1 full bath and sleeps up to 4. Queen bed and pull out couch. Each cottage is has a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, wireless internet, tv, dvd player.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we entered the property (don't judge a book by its cover). Very clean. Beautifully decorated. All needs met as far as kitchen supplies, bath supplies, lots of comfy cozy blankets and the beds were all awesome! Our host Heidi was awesome and hopefully did not "judge" us as we struggled to figure out the smart TVs. We sisters were yearning for our old TV's with the 4 channels and an on/off button. She was very patient with us! It was a special treat for us as a couple of us used to babysit her husband when he was little and that her mother-in-law was our piano teacher and our mother's good friend. It was pretty quiet in Pepin and the surrounding area this time of year but it was still very charming and a great getaway! Thank you, Heidi!

We had a wonderful time staying at Great River Cottage #1. Room accomodations were perfect for our group of 5 ladies. Lots of amenities for just staying in on the first cold days of the season in October. Plenty of blankets and the large couch and chairs in the living area were perfect for our no kids weekend get-a-way.

My friends from Winona met me at this adorable spot for a girls weekend away from home. We spent some time shopping in Stockholm, had dinner at The Pickle Factory & HOURS chatting at the kitchen table in the living room. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well supplied with everything we needed, and everything was clean & tidy. We love this place!

Super great location and space for sharing time with family. Could sleep 10...we had 3 staying overnight with 4 more of us joining in for a couple of meals. Nice kitchen fully set up for meal making, great lounging area for conversations to happen. Sweet porch and lawn making it a lovely place to call home for a weekend or longer! Five star is well deserved!

Stayed with my son, brother and nephew. We arrived later than expected. Our unit was great for us plenty of room, clean, and comfortable. Wish we would have spent more time there but thats on us. Definitely recommend.

The house is very accommodating to groups of friends. All the beds upstairs are twins, which was fine since we were on a girls weekend trip, no need for queens or king beds. The steps up the stairs are narrow and steep, take your time! The kitchen set up was great, plenty of utensils and dinnerware. Bathroom was clean and plenty of towels were furnished.

It's our second stay and won't be the last. The layout is perfect for the family that needs a separate cabin..made even more perfect with a walk through back porch. The front porch offers rocking chair room for many. The hosts are wonderful.

7 friends stayed and enjoyed clean, nicely decorated home. Fun outdoor space with fire pits in front and back. More than enough room and gathering space for all.

We had a very pleasant stay for our girls weekend. A lot of thought went into the set up of this unique space. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds. Included all amenities we needed. We enjoyed a bonfire in the firepit. Thank you for supplying the wood. Location was perfect. Just a short walk to the lake. Thank you for sharing your space with us. We had a wonderful stay. I would return again.

Typical house to refer to multi family events such as BD, weeding , reunion, retreat and other celebrations or functions. If owner can redo the exterior wall and view of the building, that will be another added value. But the interior care and look of the building has overweighed the exterior look. We were all impressed of the interior care and comfort, despite the initial issue to enter into the building.

We had a group of 6 looking for a quick get away from the cities. We enjoyed hanging out, playing games, and sharing lots of laughs. We ended up sitting around the kitchen table for hours talking and laughing. It was very enjoyable!

My family had a wedding to attend earlier in the evening. The location couldn’t be beat with a bar right across the street that stayed open till 2AM (cash only), and everyone in the family had a bed to sleeping in. I just wish we’d planned ahead with some snacks at the house, as nothing stayed open late to grab food.
The only hard part was getting ready in the morning with only 1 bathroom, but we made it work!
The room with the trundle is actually a Queen, a twin and then a trundle bed under the twin. The couch in the main living room was a huge L, and could have slept 2 adults on it if needed.
I’d also highly recommend the Pickle Factory, just down the street (walking distance)!

This is the nicest property on the corner of a quiet neighborhood. We loved every minute of our stay. So many memories made! I would warn that there is only one bathroom per 7 beds so it could get a little busy. Also the stairs up to the top floor bedrooms are a little narrow and steep. But as able bodied adults we got around just fine!! The host was incredible and so accommodating. We would definitely stay here if we had a group of our size again. We rented out the second cottage to my parents and there is a little hallway/porch to connect them. That way us girls also had access to another bathroom. So it didn’t prove to be a problem to get access to a bathroom with both.

We were able to come stay in this beautiful home Friday night and attend the wedding at Villa Belleza. Very close to where we needed to be. Convenient check in check out time. Very lovely inside and enough room for the four of us and tastefully decorated.

This home is a really great find for our friends group. We have 8 in our group and this home had plenty of room for all 8 and it was well stocked with all the basics. We even survived very well with only the 1 bathroom. Would most definitely recommend.

Girls weekend
The cottage was amazing! So well decorated and equipped with items for our daily needs. Perfect location for walking to the lake. Very relaxing and quiet area even with other guests in adjoining cottage!

Great place!
Rented for my brothers wedding. So glad we got this location it was perfect to get to the venue and to all the restaurants around town. Being on the main road was great and set back far enough from the road that it was safe. Used the beach chairs for the beach 3 block walking distance. The kitchen was fully equipt. For us we thought maybe some smaller frying pans and measuring cups. Could have missed those. But we would for sure stay again.

Heidi is a great host! Very quick communication response time. The Cottage more than met our needs and was exactly as depicted. Everything was clean and in working order and the beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for a girls weekend
We loved the location of this property! it was clean and slept us all very comfortably! We had a nice girls weekend here and were able to walk everywhere we needed. Nice little coffee shop in the morning for breakfast, right across the street! The check in and out process was easy and the communication with the property owner was seamless!

Quick Stay for a Wedding
Our group of 6 stayed for 1 night and had plenty of room! The only downfall was that there was only 1 bathroom to share between all of us, but we managed.
