In the wintertime there are plenty of trails for cross country skiing or snow shoeing from the front door. Mt. Bachelor is less than 30 minutes away if downhill skiing, snowboarding, or even dog sledding is more your idea of a great time. You are only a 10 minute drive from the Sunriver Resort for shopping, dining out, golf, spa, waterpark, horseback riding, and additional bike trails if you want to visit there. Downtown Bend is about 25 miles. But you will enjoy coming back home to a place that is much less crowded and more private.
