This was an amazing spot on the river and the house was perfect! The pictures dont do it justice. There are tons of places to relax right by the river: sit, swing, campfire & chillax! They have thought of EVERYTHING you may need. And an easy drive i to beautiful Luray.

It was so quiet and peaceful! I definitely will go back! Love my time there

What a wonderful property! The cute little house, the screened porch, the patio area with a 180-degree view of the river and the lower yard area under the shade of the sycamore trees with a bench swing, hammock and fire pit. The owners provided everything needed for a relaxing getaway from a very clean house to floating tubes to two different fire pit options all set up and ready to light. Wonderful time!

We loved everything about this cabin. It's beautiful inside and out. The screen porch was something we hadn't considered but was a lifesaver in the evenings. The listing says all you need to bring is clothes and food. We didn't understand how accurate this was. This place is stocked with EVERYTHING. Movies, games, fishing tackle, Cornhole, an awesome grill, a very nice outdoor fireplace, dishes, pots, pans, dish soap, shampoo, qtips... I can go on and on but you get the idea. There's even a few things in there you won't think you need until you do. And you'll be glad that it's there. We definitely will be back and probably bring another couple with us as well.

A fantastic location for good fishing and floating! The entire site was well kept and clean. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

We had an amazing time! It is really close to Luray Caverns, and Ralph Dean Recreation Park - perfect for the kiddos. In the evening, we could sit on the screened in porch with our coffee listening to the birds and looking at the river, and at night we could roast smokes on the fire. I have an SUV and had no trouble on the long unpaved road leading to the cabin, but could be challenging for some. We will definitely come back :)

Everything from booking to checkout was perfect!! A beautiful spot on the river. I would give it more stars if we could. Beyond well stocked. You have thought of everything!! We could want for nothing except more days 🙂 We will be back again and again.

I searched for a place for my wife and I to spend a long quiet weekend to unwind and reconnect. After searching for a couple of hours I found this wonderful oasis for us. Paula (the host) responded very promptly and answered my question(s). Everything else had been taken care of, down to kindlin' and a little coffee to start. As someone else stated, "just bring your clothes." The hammock, the swing were icing on the cake. Our hosts know this mantra all too well! The "spruce stream in the great plains" is very near and will call those who listen. We listened and our lives were made better for it and by our stay here.

This place has EVERYTHING you could possibly need while relaxing on the river. Stocked full with firewood, kindling, and lighters. There were flashlights galore and plenty of board games to keep us entertained although we didn’t find the UNO cards until the last day so be sure to check the end table drawer! Luray caverns was only about 15 minutes up the road. The town of a Luray is also 15 minutes with plenty of cool walking trails. Paula was extremely easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was perfect! Very clean and well stocked. The screened in porch was awesome. The view was beautiful and relaxing. I will return again.

We booked this rental as a mini-moon for my husband and I. After planning a wedding we needed a much needed getaway. This rental was perfect to decompress from the wedding. It was very calming and fun to see the stars at night. Build a fire and just cook together. Would definitely recommend. It was also very close to the Luray caverns.

We absolutely lived location as we got to experience both the mountains and the river. The cabin was well stocked and very clean.

Excellent cozy cottage by the river. We enjoyed the quiet nightly fires and fall foliage. we would definitely stay here again.

Charming cottage, well equipped, everything we could possibly need, beautiful setting, wonderful porch! We loved it!!!

We booked this home for only 3 nights and were so saddened that we couldn't stay longer!!! If you are looking for a quiet peaceful, clean home with all the top amenities and a clear open yard with easy access to the Shenandoah river look no further, book this while you can! My husband and I are in our 60s and not knowing the area we're unsure of the best choices around the river for fishing and a quiet stay. Walked out waste high with waders, crystal clear water & caught small trout and bass. The water access was so easy & beautiful to enjoy from the screened in porch. The weber grill was such a plus along with all the top appliances! The home was spotless and the beds so comfortable!(trust me we both have bad backs). The supply of firewood was plenty and the firepit area perfect. The owners thought out every need and every space to perfection! Thank you to our hosts for a lovely perfect stay! We didn't want to leave and you won't either! Also, the bird watching was amazing. :)

We just enjoyed a vacation for the second time at your wonderful cabin. It is so nice that you provide everything but groceries and personal items. We were excited to have internet this time too. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. My husband and I liked to sit on the swing and read, and he also did some fishing while I continued to read. Our favorite thing was eating a lot of our meals on the screened porch and watching the geese and some very pretty kayaks on the river. It would be nice to have a dvd player hooked up to the large screen tv in the living room. We travel in a Honda Accord sedan and had some concerns about the heavy rains the last few days and the condition of the road getting in and out of the property.

It was a great cabin to stay in. What made it so nice is how clean it was when we arrived and also there was every amenity you could think of. Just what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend staying there. I would love to go back eventually.

Had a good time here. Quiet place with direct access to the river. Hard to get to without a high vehicle due to long gravel/rocky road. House was well stocked with everything you would need for your trip!

The family had a fantastic time as always. Everything we needed was there. It’s a very clean cabin. The upgrades to the cabin and yard are great and appreciated. The river is amazing. The kids played in the water and we caught lots of fish and collected pretty little rocks and clam shells to take home as souvenirs.

The cabin was perfect for us. The kids loved playing in the river and it was very relaxing enjoying the fire by the river at night. Thank you.
