ATTENTION, ATTENTION RATES DETAIL; the instant quote feature on the set up of VRBO's website can be misleading at first glance. A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the property at any given time. Minimum stay is 2 nights in off season (Mid September-May). Off-season rates are: $230/night for 2 people, plus $60 per each additional person whether they are day guests only or over night. Please be accurate with your group numbers in requesting a reservation as owner will edit quote to reflect the total head count prior to confirming. Prime 2024 season (May 26-September 22) requires a minimum stay of one week (7 nights). Weeks are Sunday to Sunday. The prime season weekly rate is: $3290, for up to 8 people. Rates do not include 6% MI occupancy tax or a refundable security deposit (see VRBO at check out). Additional fee for dogs (maximum of 2) is $28 per day or $175 per week, per dog; inquire with owner on pet details and rules. NOTE that a general liability waiver is required to be signed, prior to arrival. See waiver under "my attachments". I will also email one to you. Welcome to the Lake House for every season! Nestled between poplar covered sand dunes, this contemporary 3 bedroom (sleeps up to 8) ranch style home offers a partial view of Lake Michigan and a striking panoramic view of North Grand Mere Lake. The home includes private sandy beach access on Lake Michigan and a (seasonal) wading stream. Due to recent high water levels, we have experienced significant shoreline erosion over the past couple of years. The beach is smaller than the pictures depict. Any questions, inquire with owner. Among many amenities, the home includes a private in ground swimming pool (closes mid September for the winter/opens early May), 4-5-person hot tub (open year round) and large wrap-around deck. Come to enjoy serene views, beautiful snow falls, wildlife, endless sunsets, relaxing walks and a private sandy beach. If you like action, you're only 10 to 20 minutes away from the popular destination towns of St. Joseph and New Buffalo. We're located at exit 22, off of I-94. Stay at the Lake House for a week in the prime season or a minimum two-night getaway during the off-season and enjoy it all! Nicely decorated and clean. Shelly was very responsive to any and all questions. It was obviously too cold to enjoy the pool, but I'm sure it would be great to enjoy in the warmer months. However we did enjoy the hot tub, but would have been a little more private located on the other side of the deck closer to the pool - still a a great view overlooking the lake.

We had a great stay at The Lake House. The location feels remote and private but is a quick drive to commerce and cute downtown St. Joe. We had everything we needed in terms of kitchenware and linens. The hot tub was very clean and perfect for our group - it would be on the cozy side with six adults. The listing is very accurate, but worth noting that the downstairs bedroom does not have a door. It is around the corner from the basement living space. Feels closed off based on room layout, but you'd have noise from the main,room. Would recommend and would stay again.

We had such a nice couples' weekend at the Lakehouse on Sunset Path. Shelly and Marc are such wonderful hosts! There was a ton of snow that weekend, and our hosts had us plowed on arrival and through the weekend. The view from the house is beautiful. Having the gas fireplace to enjoy was cozy. And the hot tub was a highlight. We had a delicious dinner at the Grande Mere Inn nearby and a fun stop at the Round Barn Winery in Baroda; enjoyed the trails there too. We plan to return for another winter getaway! Looks like it would be amazing in the summer too.

The house is very nice and the owners are super - very communicative and supportive. Beautiful and secluded neighborhood, but close enough to restaurants/shopping. One wish; wi-fi instead of basic cable.

It was an incredible stay at this home. Shelly was a warming host, in touch and responsive within minutes for any questions we had. The home was perfect, we utilized all features and had a wonderful relaxing time for our Thanksgiving break. I could not be happier with our stay. Thanks again!

We came up for our honeymoon to relax after a year of wedding planning and festivities. We enjoyed our visit with two exceptions..,not sure how I missed these on the overview of the property. No wifi and very basic and limited cable.

This has become one of our favorite lake vacation homes. Home was immaculate, spacious and charming. Pool and private beach was the icing on the cake! Shelly and Marc were great attentive hosts. Close to wineries, u-pick fruit farms and shopping. A++

We LOVED this house and this stay. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. The private beach was a highlight for sure. The pool and hot tub combination was a must and we were out in the backyard all week. Such a relaxing vacation! A few things to keep in mind: there is only 1 toilet (2nd bathroom is only a shower), the basement sleeping area was warm as there is no central A/C, and there is no wifi available in the house. The upstairs bedrooms have window AC units for sleeping.

my wife and dog stayed a week, it was clean upon arrival and nice setup. we had great weather so that was the win-win. pool hotuib firepit grill and outside chairs were super clean. the host was responsive and we hope to return next year. the beach is down the road and down a hill, we did not use the beach, but younger folks would likely enjoy that.

The home is well cared for. The sunsets on Lake Michigan were nothing short of amazing! We were able to utilize all the property had to offer. With the view of North Grand Mere from the deck, pool, hot tub, and firepit...... As a sun-lover, sunset chaser and nature extraordinaire.... Shelly's home was a paradise!! Our group had such a great time at the lake house. We didn’t have the best weather, but it didn’t matter because the views were wonderful and the house is perfectly cozy. I’d recommend coming here if you’re looking for an unplugged getaway. Keep in mind there is no wifi, but my hotspot worked great while we were there!

Took my husband here to "unplug" & unwind as his birthday gift. The house was beautiful, very open & clean. We loved the romantic fireplace & the modern relaxing feel of the house itself. We felt there were plenty of household essentials (towels, utensils, dishware, toiletries) everything very clean. We didn't cook there but definitely could if we wanted to. We especially enjoyed the hot tub & the cool April weather was perfect for it. The hot tub was very large & luxurious. We wished there was some type of table near the hot tub to rest our drinks & things so we didn't have to get out of the hot tub to get them but that was such a minor issue. Shelly & Mark gave some great recommendations on restaurants & places to visit. we tried the Bit o Swiss bakery & loved it. Crimson Café was a small breakfast diner that had the best breakfast ever & was extremely affordable. We found the area to be safe, quiet & secluded but still very close to restaurants/stores. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but we'd love to come back to enjoy the pool with our daughter.

From the jump, you can tell that Shelly takes great pride in her lake home. The home was maintained well, communication was excellent, and the location cannot be beat. The private beach was, by far, the best part of my stay. I spent hours sitting by the water. My friends and I enjoyed local shops and restaurants but mostly, I enjoyed the view. Be sure to read the listing thoroughly as there is no WiFi (I assumed, not complaining). My only feedback is that it’s listed as 2 baths but there is only 1 toilet (yes 2 showers but 1 toilet). Not ideal but we dealt.

My husband and I loved our stay here. It was quiet, private, pet friendly, and very clean. Shelly was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a little speaker out by the jacuzzi with a super nice lake view. Since the trees were bare, we could see sooo much more of the lake. And I’m sure the view is just as nice during summer! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway…a lot of good restaurants, breweries/wineries nearby

This is such a nice spot in a cozy sleepy neighborhood, and my girls' weekend trip here was so lovely. Even though it's winter, this lake house location was truly perfect to hunker down, play some card games, cozy up with snacks and older movies in the basement, and play some ping-pong downstairs. The hot tub was definitely one of the features that drew us to this house. We even bundled up to walk to the little beach and see the beautiful waves crashing in. Everything about this VRBO was CLEAN and the check-out requests were extremely reasonable. Shelly was so kind and checked in a couple of times throughout the weekend to make sure that everything was going alright, that we were staying warm, and offered some local restaurant suggestions. I am absolutely planning to go back ☺️ I recommend this spot to anyone considering it!

We really enjoyed our weekend away at the Lakehouse and the surrounding Harbor Country area. While we spent much of our time away, exploring the area, we were very comfortable just hanging at the house. Off the beaten path (but not too far), the house is clean, cozy and well stocked with everything you’d need. Well maintained home, nice hot tub, gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit and pleasant views (between North Lake and Lake Michigan across the road). Beautiful sunsets on the private beach that is just down a short path, end of the road. While it was just the 2 of us, we’d love to bring our kids back in the summer - the pool area was super cool. Shelly is very responsive and easy to communicate with, no issues at all. Highly recommend this home at any time of the year!

Absolutely LOVED this place!!! My boyfriend and I wanted a peaceful weekend getaway and this place was the perfect spot. The house is very clean, and the layout is beautiful. We enjoyed eating breakfast while looking out at the lake. The hot tub was super relaxing and private. There's also a trail near by that's lovely and takes you on the sand dunes. Shelly the property manager was very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!

We had a great stay, it was a quick unplanned trip. Property owner was very nice and great about reaching out to let us know if we needed anything to reach out. It has a beautiful deck with a hot tub, can't wait to book in warmer weather and take advantage of the pool. Well maintained property, will be going back!

The Lake House was the perfect stay for our my husband and I on our honeymoon! The house is comfortable and clean, has a gorgeous view of Grand Lake Mere, and is just steps away from a private Lake Michigan beach. We loved stargazing at night from the hot tub, and taking in the gorgeous Fall colors of early October. Shelly and Mark are wonderful hosts who gave us an excellent introduction to the property upon our arrival and were always available for recommendations. We will definitely be coming back any time of year!

This place was perfect. Booked it because they allow dogs and for the hot tub. House was super clean and cozy when we got there. Everything we needed they had at the house. Hot tub was perfect, walk to beach was nice, quiet neighborhood. Will have to stay again during the summer to use the pool! Host was friendly and met us when we checked in to go over any questions. They go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable !
