About this cabin rental
Please note that a 3-night minimum stay is required around the following weekends: MLK, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day During 2024. A custom-built true Log home with easy access via a paved road and STUNNING views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Great Smoky Mountain Railway Station and Deep Creek Park (Hiking & Tubing) in Bryson City-15 minutes, Cherokee-30 minutes, Nantahala Gorge-15 minutes, and Maggie Valley-45 minutes. Staying in or going out will be your most difficult decision each day. From the covered porch, enter the 14' X 30' Great Room with 25' cathedral ceiling. There is central AC to chill out our summer guest, or central gas heat to thaw out our winter guest. Cozy up to the wood burning fireplace with gas starter. On rainy days enjoy the big game or movie on the satellite dish with Flat Screen HD TV. Our open kitchen allows for multiple cooks and helpers. Flexible seating allows for large or intimate mealtime settings. There is an island for 2, a bar for 4, and a table for 6. After dinner, renew old times while playing a variety of board or card games (provided) for adults and/or kids. The cabin sits on a finished full basement that contains a Pool Table, Ping Pong Tabletop, and flat screen HD TV. Comfortable sofa recliners provide a "theater" style experience. This is where the girls send the guys to play pool, ping pong, and watch their favorite sporting event. At bedtime, retire to the master suite (queen bed) on the first floor, or on the second floor the 2nd bedroom (queen bed), 3rd bedroom (queen bed and single bunk beds), and open loft area (sleep sofa). Large closets, porches, and decks are available to experience the fresh mountain air and store all your outdoors gear. Enjoy the morning sun from the screened porch, and sunsets from either the 300 sq. ft. upper deck, or while swinging your cares away in the 5' porch swing located on the 300 sq. ft. covered lower deck. We had a great weekend at this home. The space was perfect for a family of four and an additional couple. Basement was a fun hangout spot to play table tennis and enjoy the beautiful view. Overall, great home!

Mountain views any time of the day were amazing. Kitchen highly equipped for any cooking needs. Adults and 12-year-old extremely comfortable and wi-fi service all as needed. Our family didn't experience any unmet needs during our 5-night, 4-day stay. Robert was available by phone if needed and regardless of the hour called, was extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this cabin and the area. Recommend driving in for the first time in daylight hours, although it was dark when we arrived.

We stayed several days with friends the third week of October. Cabin is clean and had what we needed for a long weekend. Views are wonderful. Great place to stay.

This property served as a great base for our recent family trip. It is located so that trips to Bryson City, Cherokee, Nantahala Outdoor Center, and GSMNP are all relatively close. The cabin was a great place to be when not exploring the area. We had three generations of family on the trip. There was plenty to do for all of us. The views were stellar. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here this summer for almost a week. I picked this place after looking at the pictures and reviews. I can tell you, the views are outstanding! We enjoyed tea in the mornings and toated the sunset in the evenings with wine, just savouring the views. The cabin was comfortable, cozy and well stocked. The drive up is a little steep with narrow roads but I supppse that comes with the territory. The owner was prompt in answering any queries. Overall we had a great time, I would definitely stay here again.

The home is beautiful. It exhibits pride of ownership from the front door to the back. The views are stunning and there was plenty to do for the entire family. It is well located and convenient to Deep Creek, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, etc. Our family vacation could not have been any better!

We had a fantastic stay at Longview Cabin. As everyone else said, the pictures cannot accurately portray how great the views are from the deck(s), which is why we chose this place.
If you are concerned that fancy camera angles are making everything look better than it is, then don't be. I am happy to report that you can get the same great view from the main deck, the inside the living room/dining room through the large glass windows, or from the lower deck with the hot tub. I was also thrilled to find out that the lower deck is protected from the rain, as there is water drainage built into the upper deck/ceiling, so if you still want to sit out and enjoy the view during an afternoon rain shower, you can.
We didn't spend a ton of time inside, but when we did, the place was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the internet was fast enough to stream Hulu/Netflix.

Views are awesome and once the sun goes down, the game room provides a great place to hangout. Overall a great place for a family vacation. I recommend, we have stayed here three times over the past 10 or so years. Only place we have rented when coming to Smokey Mountains

Staying at Longview Cabin was a delight. The accommodations were great. The ping pong/pool table combo was a real hit. The owner was very helpful in answering all my questions prior to our stay. The views of the mountains from the upper deck (and also from inside the cabin) were INCREDIBLE. The paved road up to the driveway is steep and was very narrow in spots, but our minivan made it up to the driveway okay. The road is probably better suited for a 4WD or AWD vehicle, especially if you need to pull onto the grassy berm alongside the road to let another vehicle pass by. Overall, it was a great experience.

This cabin has the million dollar views, especially from the hot tub. We rode motorcycles and had to endure a few rainy days, but this cabin made us not miss riding those days. Within 5-10 minutes from Bryson City, the location is great. Robert is a very good communicator if you have questions or needs. As experienced riders, the climb to the summit is manageable and paved all the way up until the driveway which is gravel. There’s a few turns to maneuver. In a car or truck this is an easy ride up to get to the cabin. Highly recommend Longview cabin and Robert as your host.

Had an awesome experience as this was my first VRBO property staying in! It snowed one night and our car got stuck, but the owners answered late at night and gave us some awesome advice! Cabin was as pictured but the experience was even greater! Would definitely love to stay in this property again in the future!

Longview Cabin was the definition of pure relaxation. The family enjoyed a nice quiet week in the mountains as high as the clouds with a wonderful view. Spent a day visiting nearby trails. An excellent way to start the new year.

I took my family up to Bryson City for the Polar Express. This cabin allowed for the adults to have an enjoyable weekend,

The home was very comfortable, clean and well apportioned. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. There was plenty of space to relax both indoors and out, and the views were awesome. The entire area was super quite and peaceful. Definitely recommend a stay there.

Wow, this beautiful cabin exceeded our expectations. Spacious, well appointed, very clean, spectacular mountain views, quiet, comfortable and very secluded, but only 15 minutes from town. Really enjoyed seeing the different cloud formations above us, and sometimes below us! Robert was a joy to work with. You won't go wrong booking this wonderful getaway cabin!

We had a lovely stay at this property. Robert sent us lots of information which really helped us feel comfortable with the house and enjoy our weekend. The views are magnificent and there’s lots of good hiking a short drive away. The kitchen is really well stocked and unlike some rentals has the full range of kitchen utensils and pots and pans.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Longview cabin. It was perfectly situated for our needs. We hiked Deep Creek Loop trail, the tunnel to nowhere, Mt. LeConte, and Shuckstack firetower. We even made it out to Biltmore Estate. The cherry on top of every day was enjoying a cold beverage and the amazing view. Thank you for sharing your home!

The entire stay went great from communication prior to check in through check out. The house was well stocked in the kitchen, had great games (ping pong, corn hole, etc), and the view was better than the photos.
