The space and amenities were superb: beautiful, very clean, gorgeous private patio, very kind manager! Will definitely stay when I’m in town again!!

Wonderful stay in a soptless appartment. Everything was like on the post. Communication with owner very easy. Very quiet neighborhood and close to UBC, what we came for. We would recommend it for sure!

Shawn was very helpful and reaponsive to all of our questions. The beautifullt appointed basement apartment was just what we needed for our mini vacation prior to our cruise. The apt was very close to a great little bakery and coffee shop and also ease of use of public transportation. Thank you for a great stay!!

We had a wonderful week in Vancouver while staying at Shawn and Chrystal's basement suite. The location is really beautiful and was great for walks in the neighbourhood, with a nearby park and field. It's just around the corner from a small grocery store, coffee shop and bakery which was super convenient, and it's a very short drive to Kitsilano and all the shops located there. The size of the unit was perfect for us as a family of 3, our 2 year old slept confortably on the futon. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. I highly recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when we visit friends in Vancouver.

This is the second time I have stayed at this property. While the suite is small it is such an efficient use of space. Everything you could possibly need is available. The hosts are so accomodating and the location fantastic. I can hardly wait to return

My husband and I spent 6 nights in Shawn’s one bedroom basement apartment. It had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and spacious. There are a couple of bakeries and a grocery store within a minute’s walk. It’s in a beautiful, safe neighborhood and so close to many tourist attractions. A great place to stay on your vacation to Vancouver. Thank you Shawn for sharing your home.

Pride of ownership is evident here and Shawn and Crystal are always within reach for any help along with great advice. The is is a great neighbourhood, with a coffee and bake shop, as well as a bakery and sandwich shop and a butcher, all within a block and easy access to major cross town travel routes, UBC and other amenities. We hope to return soon to this spotless, cozy location.

I stayed here with my husband and 4 year old for 2 weeks. The accommodation is lovely; it's comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Shawn was a great host, always happy to provide anything we needed and answer questions. The location is nice and quiet, a few minutes walk to a nice bakery, a cafe and a lovely grocery store. Also, only a 10 minute drive up to Kitsilano for shops and restaurants on W 4th and the beach. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. If we return to Vancouver, we would certainly want to stay here again!

The suite is exactly as pictured and described. Spotless and well equipped. Shawn is definitely a "super host". He went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Great location, close to transit, quiet neighbourhood. The perfect spot for two long time friends visiting their old "stomping" grounds. I really can't say enough about this lovely suite. Highly recommend for a stay in Vancouver!

My partner (age 83) and myself (age 73) chose this suite in particular because of ease from/to airport; and the safe/peaceful neighbourhood. We rented a vehicle & had no issues with parking on the street. Everything met our expectations except the lack of comfort on the pull-out couch. If you use the bed only for sleeping, you will dream like a baby as it is super comfortable. We took turns on the couch to make it more bearable (especially for folks of our age). Check in & out was easy. Thank you Shawn for your kindness.

The suite was fantastic. It was well stocked with kitchen items and while a smaller suite the set up was efficient and made it seem larger. Very modern appliances and decorated beautifully. The hosts were fantastic, available and helpful. The neighbourhood is safe and beautiful. Only a block away are bakeries and a high end grocery store.

Clean, modern, lots of amenities

This property is in a nice location close to a few cute bakeries and cafes. The suite is very comfortable, I really enjoyed opening the patio door and listening to the water feature in the backyard. The owner Shawn was welcoming and communicative. Would highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home and we have to say, it exceeded all of our expectations. Shawn has set up their basement space so that from the moment you walk in, you can’t help but be blown away by the stunning decor, numerous amenities, and incredible attention to detail. The home was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with every amenity and convenience you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with high-end appliances, cookware, and utensils, making it a joy to cook meals and dine in. The bedrooms were comfortable and inviting, with plush bedding and plenty of closet space. One of the highlights of this vacation home was the outdoor patio. In all we were very impressed with how well kept the home was. The location of the home was also ideal, with easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, and attractions including UBC, Grenville and others. Shawn was also very helpful with numerous tips and potential activities to explore during our stay. Whether you want to explore the local area or simply relax and unwind, this vacation home has it all.

This property is in a lovely Vancouver neighbourhood with a terrific market and bakery steps from your door. If you prefer a quiet friendly home environment this is the place. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and roomy sitting area. The host is very helpful and considerate.

We had an event at UBC but could also enjoy Kitsilano with its many restaurants. Very clean and quiet. Shawn is very nice and Jasmin the black cat is adorable!

Had a great stay at the Suite! Shawn and Chrystal were fantastic hosts. Location was great. Walked down to the cafe around the corner just about every morning for breakfast. Would not hesitate to book again!

The basement apartment was in a pleasant garden setting. It was very modern and well equipped. Public transport was easy with a bustop 1 minute away. There was also a grocery store, bakery and coffee shop just around the corner - very handy. It is a very nice and quiet area with treed streetscapes and lovely houses. Shawn was a great host.

We had a fantastic stay here while visiting our daughter at UBC. Great location, very clean, safe neighbourhood.Host was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

This beautiful, tastefully decorated suite is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, 2 blocks from a bus stop. It is fastidiously clean, comfortable, and within walking distance of a small grocery, bakery, and bread shop. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for dining in, if you elect to do so. Pots, pans, utensils, and basic spices. It is surprisingly bright and cheerful for a basement apartment. Although we did not use the washer and dryer, it was nice to have access if the need arised. I cannot say enough good things about the host, Shawn! We had a very small issue that did not require immediate attention; yet he resolved it in a matter of an hour. He even offered to drive my friend and I to a currency exchange station because we forgot to exchange U.S. dollars for Canadian before leaving the airport! I will be back!

High end finishes were impressive (crown molding; wallpaper). Small - but it has everything you can possibly want. Great washer/dryer.

This is a very clean and quiet suite in a quiet neighborhood. Everything you need is provided for a short stay. Shawn and Crystal were very helpful to us when we had difficulty booking online. We have stayed here in the past and will do so again when we need a place to stay in Vancouver. Highly recommended!
