About this house rental
The Summer Salt underwent a complete renovation in 2013, and feature large decks on the West and East ends of the house. The West Deck provides a great unobstructed view of the Gulf. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths and a very large great room/kitchen.
We provide satellite TV with televisions in all rooms and wireless internet access. Parking under the house for 1 car with parking for 2 additional vehicles in the driveway.
The maximum occupancy is 6.
The master bedroom has a private bath, patio door to the deck and a king-size bed.
The second bedroom has a twin bed and two bunk beds (sleeps 3). An additional cot sleeps 1 if needed.
Summer Salt is a non-smoking house, and pets and firearms are not allowed.

Property was just as described. Very close to the beach and clean. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked just fine. I did struggle with getting the TV in the main living area to work (we were interested in watching the NBA finals) and after much wrangling was finally able to get it working properly. Turns out that the batteries in the remote control were dead. I would highly recommend changing all batteries every 60 days as a regular practice. (TV remotes and thermostat, which also looked to be in need of replacing) Adding an information sheet about how the TV with satellite connection works would also be helpful. Overall, not a big deal but had the battery been fresh it would have saved me a lot of frustration. Not sure if there is an outside switch for the lighting under the house, but if there is one I couldn’t find it. I could only turn on the outside lights by going inside. Again, more about convenience and not a big deal. Overall the property was just what we were looking for and worked well. I go down to Fort Morgan a couple of times a year and will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits. Nice place overall.

This was a great house for my family of 5! Very comfortable beds for all. Farmhouse table was great for celebrating a birthday! The walk to the beach was super quick and the view from the back deck was really great. Good selection of beach equipment. The communication with Donny was quick and effective. We would definitely stay here again.

I wanted to love this place but it was so dirty! I had to wash the floors and wipe things down in order to be comfortable enough to stay there. There was dust on all the blinds and the windows and doors were sticky and dirty. Whoever is paid to clean does not do a good job. There was a wet mop and bucket left in the laundry area that smelled. We had to close the door to the second bedroom because there was a strange smell in there. The pans were all scratched beyond use, so I made a trip to the store to buy something usable. Hubby had to fix the door so it would close and replace a blinking light bulb under the deck. The locking mechanisms on the doors need attention too. We did love the area and had a nice time on the beach and biking at Gulf State Park trails. The king bed was comfortable. The living room furniture was ok. I would not rent this place again or recommend it to anyone. I feel like I paid for cleaning services that I did not receive. We left it cleaner than we got it. The dishes were okay, but bring your own pans if you rent here and want to do any cooking.
