Beautiful property and a stunning view!! We had a wonderful time at the yurt

My family & I had a great time staying at the yurt! It was on the edge of town, so plan to either rent a car or coordinate ahead of time with the Haines shuttle service. The yurt was a great place to relax at the end of the day with an incredible view while sitting in the hot tub. Would definitely go back!

What an amazing location which makes for amazing views! The yurt was so comfortable for a family vacation. Close to town but a secluded feeling. We were a party of 7, 5 adults and 2 kids.

What a wonderful place. What a view. Wonderful to watch the eagles soar over the valley below. The beds were very comfy, always a good thing. We soaked in the tub, what a view again. I will definitely stay there again. So thrilled to find this special place. I live in Juneau and we often go to Haines. The owners live on the same property and completely respected our privacy.

Wonderful cozy yurt, clean and well stocked. Nothing will ever beat the view from the hot tub. I will have to find a reason to come back to Haines just to stay here again. Can’t say enough great things!

My whole family now craves a yurt! We loved the hot tub, comfortable beds, cozy living room and most of all, the view!

We loved this yurt. The inside was comfortable, with enough room for 8 guests. The view was amazing and the hot tub was nice and hot. The only unwelcome surprise was that we felt uncomfortable being in full view of the owners' living room, so we waited until it was nearly dark to go into the hot tub. The owners' daughter is raising bunnies, which were hopping all over the place; they were delightful to watch over a cup of coffee. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. We didn't have a car for the first 2 days and it was doable, though it was a 2-mile walk to town. That worked fine for us, but I imagine most people would prefer to have a car.

Perfect gateway, close to town, amazin views, cozy and relaxing. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit beautiful Haines, Alaska.

This was a trip of firsts...first time in Haines (plotting a way to move here now 😉�), first time driving across the Canadian border (approx 45 miles away - if you can, do it! Heading back over the pass to Haines was breathtaking) & our first time in a yurt! The yurt is warm, comfy, clean and has everything you need! The view is outstanding! The owners were easy to communicate with and helpful. We will be back for sure!

Lots of attention to detail such as the hot tub warmed and ready to go, firewood and kindling stacked and ready near the wood stove, travel guides handy. Landlord was nearby and ready to help with any questions we had. This is a lovely, cozy place with a stunning view. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at the Yurt over the December holidays and were so pleased. Everything inside was well equipped, and we were amazed how warm it kept us despite being there in the winter, during a snowstorm. Can't wait to return - the photos of the views and yurt itself are exactly what it is like, but it feels even better in person. A real find. Thanks for having us!

We had a lovely stay at this Yurt in Haines, AK. It was plenty of room for our family of 6 (3 adults, 3 children). The pictures give accurate description of the accommodation. The yurt was clean and spacious. Without a doubt, the hot tub and view are the stars of this property. The views are breathtaking. We would recommend this property to others who are in the area and need a good place to stay.

This place is perfect for those who are looking for something a little different for vacation accommodations- conveniently close to town, a cozy space, comfortable beds, and stunning views from the hot tub. We stayed here on a rainy fishing weekend in November and loved hearing the rain on the roof of the yurt as we warmed up in front of the fire or in the hot tub. Great for a family or a group of adults.

When making plans to visit friends in Juneau I learned of the Kroschel Wildlife Refuge in Haines and wanted to visit. Six of us took the ferry to Haines and stayed at this amazing yurt! I didn't even know what a yurt was but our friend did and so glad she found this place for us all. The yurt was cozy yet spacious, we all felt right at home. It was nice to be able to find a place for 6 adults to share, rather than separate hotel rooms. The hosts, Allissa and Ira, were wonderful and made sure we had lots of firewood for the campfire, helped us get pizza delivered and were very welcoming. There was even local ground coffee and fresh cream for us. Love those special touches! The best part was all 6 of us sitting around the campfire, admiring the view and relaxing that evening. We also are all dog lovers and thoroughly enjoyed meeting their Boxer!! He was a lovable guy!

We stayed here with my wifes parents when they visited, and it was a great place to stay while in Haines. The property that the yurt is located on offers amazing views of the Chilkat river and surrounding mountains. It was a great place to come back to after exploring the area, having the hot tub right outside made relaxing with a drink in the evenings a lot of fun too.

Six of us stayed for one night and had a great time. Alissa and Ira (owners) are great - helped us organize pizza delivery (excellent), made sure we had wood for a campfire, provided local roasted coffee/cream/sugar, etc, and just all around made it very welcoming. They yurt is really nice - clean, comfy, and had a feeling of home. The views are spectacular, it is peaceful and a great place to relax. As another reviewer noted the yurt is on the same lot as the owners but still felt very private. Every one of us enjoyed it and would recommend it for pretty much anyone. Add to that Haines and area is a great place so recommend people go for a visit. Kroschel Wildlife Refuge was incredible, town has nice shops and of course very Alaska friendly, Chilkoot Lake is beautiful - all around loved our mini vacation. Two of us live in Juneau and will definitely stay there again when we are in Haines. Thanks so much Alissa and Ira.

Located just a couple of miles from the center of Haines, this large, well-built yurt easily accommodated our group of five travelers. The pictures accurately convey the comfortable interior furnishings, hot tub, and spectacular view. Although the yurt is situated on the same lot as the main house of the owners and their young children and dogs, it has a private feel. We were attending a family reunion nearby and enjoyed returning each evening to watch the gorgeous sunsets from the yurt. Glad we stayed there!
