Note: Our transient vacation home is located in a Tsunami Evacuation Zone. In an event of a Tidal Wave, evacuate to higher grounds. We also incur occasional bridge closer due to flooding of Hanalei roads. Access to our vacation home may be limited to all local traffic. Please inquire with owner. Our home is adjacent to the vacation home stay apartment with a private entrance and a designated parking area. The vacation home stay apartment is on the second level with beautiful views of the mountains featuring breathtaking waterfalls. The upstairs unit is private yet accessible to owners, when they are home. Our vacation home comes with kitchenette: microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and a washer and dryer. The floor plan is very spacious with over 900 square feet of living space. A large lanai area to relax while viewing the mountains. Our home is only steps away from the popular Hanalei Bay or what the locals refer to as 'Pine Trees'. Winter swells brings in nice surf and summer sun attracts family vacations. We do have a couple beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a cooler for your use. Nearby shops and restaurants are conveniently located while popular hiking and snorkeling areas are just a few minutes down the road. Also a great area to go jogging or biking! Jana’s place was very comfortable, providing everything we needed for quiet dinners on the lanai. Great location for walking to the beach. Quiet neighborhood, very friendly neighbors. Already booked for next year:) Highly recommend.

Jana's place is literally steps away from Hanalei Bay -- so wonderful to be that close to the ocean. I really enjoyed sitting on the deck reading and gazing out to the ocean to the right, and the tropical mountain to the left! A slice of heaven.

We loved our stay with Jana. The location couldn't be better. You can see Hanalei Bay beach from the balcony and wake from seeing valley view from the bedroom window. Jana is great at communication with us, always very responsive and gave up heads up on road closures, etc. The place is bigger than we thought and it's super clean!

Very spacious apartment with incredible views of the mountains, steps away from the beach, and a short drive,bike, or walk to town. The location was perfect for our daily hiking and snorkeling excursions that were all just a short drive away. Would highly recommend.

I think this is our 6th stay at this rental. My husband and I love everything about it. The unit is spacious and has everything you’d need for kitchen and the beach. It’s literally across the street from Hanalei Bay and a short walk into town. Every time we leave we are already thinking of when we can come back and this trip is no exception.

This spot is perfect. Location, location, location! We had a wonderful time. Bonus that bikes, boogie/surf boards, chairs, bbq, etc…were available. Friendly neighbors. Can’t wait to come back.

The home was perfect for a little surf trip to Hanalei. Great location to walk to pine trees, the pier, and through town. The views of the mountains from the bedroom and the lanai were so beautiful. Jana was easy to communicate with and I’d love to come back again.

We loved our 2nd visit to Hanalei (of course!) and the property was perfect.
A couple of minutes to the beach and a short walk to the center of Hanalei. We used the bikes, beach chairs, umbrella & body board!
The accommodation was very comfortable with a large bedroom, walk in wardrobe, good shower, well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room - and a nice lanai.
We will definitely look for this property first when we come back to Hanalei!

A beautiful home in an incredible place with a wonderful, friendly, and gracious host! Jana went out of her way to make sure we arrived safely during a bad storm. Once we arrived her home was more spectacular than we expected. Only down side: our trip was over and we had to go home. We will be back! Mahalo nui loa for sharing your home!!

Great location, spacious one-bedroom, simple, comfy, nothing fancy, loved being in a local neighborhood and so close to spectacular Hanalei Bay. And close to town.

Had such an amazing time staying at this rental. Very easy to check in, great location and beautiful views! It was so nice to have access to bikes and a surf board. No frills but very comfortable. Already talking about visiting again!

Jana’s spot was the perfect home base for surf days and hiking adventures- being walking distance to the beach and town the location is super convenient. Her place was the perfect size for my husband and I had all the amenities we needed to for cooking. We had a surfboard, beach chairs, beach bikes, and a grill at our disposal which was a huge added bonus for our days on the island. We wish we could have stayed longer!

My wife and I loved staying here! Jana is a great and accommodating host. The best part of this property is the location- within seconds you can walk to the beach and you are also a couple minute car drive to shops, restaurants, etc. The property is spacious with everything you need. Waking up listening to the waves and looking at the mountains is something we’ll never forget!

This place had more amenities than my actual home—even a colander to strain our pasta! It was a great place, very comfortable. We were there the first week in October, so it was quite hot in the house without an air conditioner during the day. It did cool down at night though, which was crucial. The bikes provided were my favorite part. My foot was injured, so they allowed us to get to town without having to drive. The place was centrally located to everything on the North Shore, although the ocean was pretty rough so we did very little swimming (on the north and south parts of the island). The provided beach umbrella, chairs, and cooler still made our beach trips very enjoyable though. It poured rain the day after we arrived, but there were rainbows, waterfalls, good bars downtown, and a lot of streaming services on the television (Netflix, Disney +). Otherwise, it was sunny. Last note not related specifically to this property: The whole island is overrun with chickens. Cute, but the roosters crow all night long, not just at daybreak. Bring earplugs and a sense of humor.

We've stayed at many vacation rentals, but this property is at the top of our list. The location is just a block from the beach, and boasts beautiful views from the ample windows throughout. We found the property to be beautifully maintained and equipped and was extremely clean. One of our favorite parts was having the beach cruisers available to bike 1 mile to the pier to watch the most beautiful sunset that you will ever see down by the Hanalei Pier. Also available for your use are boogie boards, surfboards, cooler, umbrella's, beach chairs, etc.
Even though we stayed during what was probably one of the hottest periods on record for the year, we found that the ample windows and fans cooled the place down pretty quickly, except for maybe a few hours during the middle of the day -- which was okay, because this is the time when we would be out exploring the beautiful island anyway. For probably 99% of the year, heat would probably be a non-issue.
Jana was a great communicator, always responding within minutes when I had a question. As a host, she exemplifies the Aloha spirit. We can't wait to return to Kauai, and we will definitely stay at Jana's place again.

We first stayed here in 2009 for two months, and over the years have wanted to return but haven't had the chance. We just came home after our second stay - for one month, this time - so clearly we love the place, and certainly recommend it to others. It is simple but has everything we needed, and the location is perfect. Even the endless chorus of roosters crowing to each other across town and the barking dogs add to the casual, friendly residential neighborhood character.

We spent a week in Hanalei and thought this rental was a perfect location - just a block from the beach! It was clean and well-equipped. Waking up to the roosters was a unique experience - truly Hawaii. The owners met us, and they were helpful and welcoming.

Perfect location
We loved the location of the property and the bikes provided made it easier for the 0.8-mile walk to the town. A couple of items were broken (beach umbrella, cooler), but the host made sure to replace them immediately. We really appreciated it! The home was perfect and we would definitely stay here again.

A perfect place for Hanalei R&R
We had the best 10 days celebrating our 25th anniversary in Hanalei. We loved everything about this place. It had everything we needed for a homebase while exploring Kauai for the first time. The location could not be any better with only a block to the beach in Hanalei Bay and easy access to Kuhio Hwy to get to many other beautiful beaches down the road going North and access the rest of the island going South. We absolutely loved the mountain views from all the south facing windows. The place is stocked with all the essentials and we appreciated the beach chairs, a cooler and boogie board. It was such a beautiful and relaxing place. Mahalo for letting us recharge in your beautiful place!

Perfect Vacation Rental
The apartment itself was clean and had everything we could need. The windows across from the bed make for the most beautiful morning view I've ever seen. The home is about a 1 minute walk from the beach/bay which was our favorite part. We also had a fantastic time cruising into town on two of the bikes that come with the rental. We would love to stay again some day!

Amazing Stay Overall
I want to start and say this rental was amazing, we would just soak up the views from the patio of the surrounding scenery and it was breathtaking. The amenities were wonderful, we loved the bike ride to Hanalei pier. The host answered right away when I called and was hospitable. As noted in the description, there is no AC and it is an upstairs apartment. When we walked in, it was extremely hot. There is a fan in every room, and after opening up all the windows it did cool down relatively fast. It was comfortable at night and on rainy days, we spent the warm afternoons out enjoying the island anyways.
The apartment was overall very clean, however, there was a blackened banana peel in a very strange spot (by the washer and dryer?) that we assumed was from the previous guests. There were no issues at all aside from that.

Highly recommend this spectacular spacious apartment. It's not super fancy, but it's very well appointed, comfortable, safe, and PERFECT. Great space for cooking or prepping meals, nice bathroom, those views!!! The nights are quiet, peaceful, tranquil. And the days, I was in the perfect location to adventure. If it gets warm, just open the windows, turn on the fans, and you'll feel great in no time. Absolutely loved every part of my stay! <3
