It is a peaceful setting with beautiful views of breathtaking mountains and a beautiful native cutthroat trout stream running right through your backyard. Bordering the property to the north and south are wide open grassy pastures which are home to our cow herd whose lineage goes back on this place over a hundred years. You may often see a horse frequent by in the summer. The property has walking or horseback access to the Gallatin National Forest (located only a quarter mile to the east of the house) and the 900,000 acre Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. This Wilderness abuts the 2.2 million acre Yellowstone National Park. It is a huge expanse of wild land. A quarter mile to the west is the free flowing Yellowstone River. Yellowstone National Park is an extremely scenic ten minute drive away. The home is spacious and comfortable. It is a 4 bedroom 3 bath home. There is also the Yellowstone Cabin available for your use (May 15 - hard frost (late Sept). It is a one room cabin with a double bed and a half bath. It is originally a cabin from Yellowstone and aside from adding the bathroom, it has been left in its original condition. You pay no extra for it and are free to use it if you wish. It is rustic, but really cute. Guests last summer loved it. The property has a beautiful grass lawn with flower beds and bordered by native vegetation and shade trees. There are two decks. The front deck gets the morning sun and is a spectacular setting to enjoy your morning coffee. The back deck is always shaded by beautiful, large cottonwood trees and overlooks Cedar Creek. There is a one car attached garage for your use. Wildlife frequents the area often. You may see elk, deer, mountain sheep, coyotes, wolves, raccoons and the ever present entertaining squirrels on the deck. It is a birdwatchers heaven from chickadees and sparrows to eagles, cranes and herons. If you are a winter guest, you may also see buffalo from your living room window. There are endless activities in the greater Yellowstone area. You could spend a lifetime here and not see and experience all it has to offer. Yellowstone National Park offers gorgeous scenery, geysers, bubbling mud, hot springs, wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, western cookouts, stagecoach rides, boating, guided fish boats on Lake Yellowstone, and many educational opportunities. Boiling Hot Springs, located between Gardiner and Mammoth,is a hot springs where soaking is permitted. It is a unique experience and definitely worth exploring. The Greater Yellowstone area offers spectacular whitewater rafting, fishing, guided river trips, horseback riding, camping, park tours, souvenir gift shops, restaurants, bar and grills, swimming, biking, hunting and hiking. Bozeman’s Gallatin Field is located 70 miles away. There is plenty to do right from your Bar B door as well. Two miles east of the house is the historic OTO dude ranch, Montana’s first dude ranch. This is a beautiful, fairly easy hike up a gravel road to the remnants of the dude ranch. The lodge and cabins have been restored to their original condition and you are free to walk around and in them or picnic on the deck. Cedar Creek, which runs behind the house is closed to fishing as it is a native spawning stream for Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout. We are, however, only a quarter mile from the Yellowstone River which offers spectacular fishing with plenty of access through fishing accesses and high water lines. The spawning cutthroat in Cedar Creek can be seen from the bridge behind the house during July. There are also rainbow and brown trout in the creek. This is a super location for hunters to base from as well as a comfortable place to come home to after a long day of hunting. There is hunting within walking distance from the house. There is ample Forest Service land in the area for big game hunting during the archery season or general season. We often hear elk bugling at night from our bedroom windows. If you are visiting Yellowstone and plan to stay in the Gardiner area, this is the place. Perfect location, everything you need, plenty of space, and incredible beauty. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and l in working condition. We used a crock pot, the stove, oven, dish washer as well as the washer and dryer, everything was great. The location is great, just a short drive into Gardiner and then on to Yellowstone. Overall this was the perfect place for our trip. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home.

Wendy's spot was a great fit for our large group of ladies celebrating my mom's 70th birthday. We utilized almost all of the beds. The bedding and matresses were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and some basics. There was generous seating for our crew. We loved that we were less than 5 minutes from Yellowstone Hot springs and less than a half hour from Chico. There was plenty of parking. While we visited in February, the creek in the back yard was amazing...we would love to see it in the summer! The space isnt' new or fancy, but very comfortable and well loved. Would definitely recommend.

This was one of the coolest homes we have ever stayed at. You could feel love that this family put into decorating and maintaining this home.
Can’t wait to come back again.

Incredible property and owner. My family had an amazing stay. The owner was communicative and helpful and we had everything we needed at the house.

Loved this location. Even though it was right off the main road, it felt like you were miles from real civilization. Every morning a herd of deer greeted us. It was a treat to watch them from the back deck while listening to the rush of the creek. The cabin is spacious and well appointed. Wendy is super responsive and helpful. The beds were super comfortable to sleep in after a long day of hiking in the National Forest (literally steps away from the cabin) or Yellowstone NP. Gardiner is just a short distance away with a perfectly stocked grocery store and neat shops and restaurants. Perfect place to stay. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

We planned a short getaway for our family. It turned out to be a wonderful experience! The house was so clean and comfy and the location was great. Some of us went on a snow coach tour from Gardiner and some went to soak in the Yellowstone hot springs. Our dogs were with us and there were great walking places. The "Bunkhouse" atmosphere was just perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer. Wendy and her father-in-law were great to work with. Dont miss visiting this home!

We decided to go away last minute for Thanksgiving and found this gem! The price was spot on for the size and location of the home. I was concerned about how clean it would be considering all of the "stuff" in it, but was pleasantly surprised. There wasn't a speck of dust to be found! It was so fun to look around the walls and read the signs and look at all of the antiques. We visited Yellowstone hot springs two times, it's just a 5 min car ride. We were able to cook a full on thanksgiving dinner as they had any and every kitchen tool and pan you could want! The only feedback would be to have lights on the house when arriving in the evening, it was a bit hard to find. The lights on the garage didn't seem to work. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location just outside the park. Beautiful view, quiet, private. Way better than in park accommodation. Fun cowboy theme decor, nice kitchen and laundry, wonderful host, everything we needed.

Themed property along a roaring stream, nestled by horse pasture and changing fall foliage. Lots of bedroom options and bathrooms to match. Fully stocked kitchen made meal planning a breeze! Appreciated washer and dryer along with the needed soaps, etc. Enjoyed porch and games, puzzles during a rainy day. Close proximity to Yellowstone was a bonus. Host was quick to answer any of our questions.

We had a quick but enjoyable stay. Our hosts were very helpful and hospitable
and our trip was a success. The property and stream was so pretty that there was a small discussion about having to wedding right there on the little bridge behind the house. Lol!

You cannot go wrong staying at this property. Everything you could want Wendy has from kitchen appliances to extra bedding. Clean, comfortable and relaxing after a long day in the Park. Lots of historical information and photos that added to the visit. Great property for our family reunion.

The house is located right on Cedar Creek and is amazing. Lots of room for large groups with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a bunk room. All you need to bring is your food. Plenty of seating on the front porch to enjoy the mountains and on the back deck to listen to the soothing creek. Only 10 miles from Gardiner and Yellowstone Park entrance. The host is wonderful very prompt in getting back to me when I had questions. I highly recommend this house if you are looking for a vacation rental near Yellowstone Park.

This home was very beautiful and quaint. I loved the way the interior was decorated with decor and photos of Montana. It was located a short drive out of town where we easily got groceries, shopped and dined. My favorite part of the home was the lovely creek in the backyard. We had a very peaceful stay, visited the park and ate meals in the home. The owners were very nice, and the home really had everything we needed. Check in and check out were easy. Thank you for the lovely few days escape!

Our family was very happy with the location and setting of this VRBO. As an extended family, we’ve stayed at a few different rentals and this one did not disappoint. The location was just a few minutes north of the city of Gardiner, MT, so easy access to Yellowstone, the Gardiner Market (which had everything we needed for our stay) and some local restaurants & shops. The stream behind the cabin was spectacular. The home was roomy enough for our family with all of the amenities needed for a great trip to Yellowstone. While there, we were able to book at private tour of the park with Yellowstone Dreamin' Adventures. Our guides Ron & Adam did a wonderful job getting us to all of the important spots within the park. We were even lucky enough to see a mama grizzly bear & cub. We white water rafted with Flying Pig Rafting. Our guide Billy did not disappoint. Our group was up for an adventure, and he made sure to deliver. He hit as many rapids as possible. While visiting, we attended the annual Gardiner Rodeo just another fun activity we don’t get to do everyday. We couldn’t have packed more into our stay in Gardiner and the location and amenities of this VRBO were essential in making our trip memorable. Thank you so much Wendy for allowing us to call your cabin our home for just a few days. We loved it.

This place was absolutely perfect for our Yellowstone trip! Had a family of 8 and everyone had their own space. Fully stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful views and we loved sitting on the back porch listening to the water in the creek run by. Not far from the North entrance of the park and with plenty of places to shop and dine. We are already talking about another trip and there is so much to see and do in Yellowstone and would definitely stay here again!

Excellent house for a two-family trip with young kids. The house interior, including kitchen, is sufficiently spacious for spreading out. Large assortment of books and games; plenty of interesting trinkets throughout. Good solid furniture everywhere. Note that the second upstairs bedroom doesn't have a window to the outside (only to the garage), but the room is well-furnished and there are plenty of windows in all the common areas.
The outside surroundings of the house are what really sets it apart. The stream looks like it comes straight out of some fantastical painting, cascading over stones and logs, while birds and squirrels dart back and forth. The firepit (not pictured in the listing!) is ideally situated on a small natural terrace right next to the stream, and a great place to sit and admire nature. The noise of the water dominates the back yard, adding to the appeal. The front yard has plenty of grassy expanse for kids to run around in. The road is a dirt road without traffic, and a nice hike is available by following it up and over.
Very close to Gardiner and Yellowstone; food (either restaurants or the grocery store) is close at hand, and reaching the park is easy, even with the new entrance road.
I am usually satisfied at my VRBO rentals in general, but this is the first one where I would definitely try to come back, rather than trying something new, should I vacation in the area again.

Very impressed with location and house. Host was very nice and helpful.

This country cabin/cottage was beautiful. Home was nestled by a creek that sets the stage for your own mountain oasis. Listening to the river was so relaxing. House exudes western charm with many images of the Wild West and Yellowstone. Great property that we would definitely book again if we come back. Owner was easy to communicate with and helpful with our questions throughout our stay.

My family of 8 plus my brother and his family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Bar - B bunkhouse. The property was well stocked with amenities, was clean and well organized, had plenty of outdoor space, and was a short drive to many local attractions - especially Yellowstone. The place was LOADED with fun things to look at. There is a real story on the walls and shelves of the house, and you really start to feel a part of it after a few days.
Wendy was an excellent host who clearly takes the time to make sure her guests feel at home and are comfortable. She provided a well organized check-in book that had lots of ideas for things to do in the area.
Finally, if all of that wasn't enough, Gardiner is an awesome little town. The market downtown has one of the best Bourbon selections that I have ever seen anywhere.
