Many things about the apartment were great. It is pretty clean, in a good location, and had everything we needed. The cold water in the bathroom was just a drip, so it was hard to wash our faces and hands because the water was too hot—but having to use using the kitchen sink wasn’t a big deal. The hardest thing about our stay (and why we checked out a day early) was the noise. The outside activity (music, talking, laughing, drinking, etc) was constant until 3:00. Being an old building just doesn’t give it enough sound proofing, I suppose.

The place was exactly as advertised. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and convenient for a quick weekend trip to Denver. Access instructions weren't provided until the very last minute which was frustrating.

The apartment worked great for a stay with my friends during Denver Beer Week. Easy walk to the Convention Center and short Uber or car trips to other areas like RINO. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The biggest challenges were street parking, which got very busy a rough to find free spots. There was also some street and outside noise over the weekend nights. All in all though this was a great property!

Great little two bedroom, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, although we didn't really use it as we spent most of our time playing in the neighborhood. Lots of options for eating and entertainment.

We had a great stay at Capital Hill and enjoyed the charm of the condo and building. The host was very accommodating to our needs and answering questions. We were able to walk and bike to neighborhoods across the city.

We loved the history of this condo and its building. Check-in was flawless and it was very clean and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic. We walked or rode scooters pretty much everywhere. I would definitely recommend.

We had a nice stay, the property is in walking distance or short drive to everything we wanted to see.

We arrived late and the code was different to get into the gate and had to call twice to get the new code. then the breaker tripped twice and we had to call him in The middle of the night to find the breaker box. The shower was leaking and he said we could only take fast showers which we did, then the last 2 days we had no shower at all. He said he could move us to a unit 17 miles away. We had no rental car and he didn’t offer to help with this or get another unit closer. The fans were dusty and some table tops. The location is nice but I felt like the owner just didn’t care at all. I have tried to call to get a partial refund which I feel is fair for not having a shower for 2 days and he still hasn’t answered. . I had great hopes and we still left the place clean and even made sure the faucets were dripping and cabinets open when we left in Dec after the cyclone blizzard came through as per his request so that nothing would freeze. I would warn anyone that the communication was not great and as a part of a group called I Trip Vacations Denver I will be hesitant to use them again, which is a shame. Never had this problem with a VBRO before

Great Location
The location allowed us to walk to grocery stores, restaurants, and museums. Finding parking was limited and stressful, but once we parked we were able to leave the car and walk. Comfortable, clean apartment. We would stay there again and will recommend to others.

Nice location. Place needs work
Positives: The location was good. The place is old, but that's ok. Old can be fine as we live in a 101-year-old home ourselves. Code lock worked well on gate and door--no issues. The kitchen was fine. We go inside and my wife uses the bathroom. She comes out and says "I think the handle on the toilet is about to fall off." So I go in and sure enough, it's very, very loose. I have remolded homes before and am one of 'those' guys. Anyway, I realize the handle is for a right-handed toilet---this is a left-hand-sided toilet. I tightened and let the owner know. Putting our stuff away we realize the window sills are filthy. Like a good layer of dust. The window AC unit was running and it was ok as far as temp. It appears to be an undersized unit for the square footage as it was turned way down, but was still kinda warm. The "clean filter" light was on. So I thought, maybe that's why its not working well. So I go to open the cover and realize the packing tape was still keeping the door closed. I removed that and opened it up to find a filter that was packed with 1/4 inch of gunk. Cleaned it and the AC worked much better after. But obviously, this hadn't been cleaned since install. Basically, the bathroom needs to be updated. The cold water side of the bathroom faucet barely puts out any water so rinse fast or it gets too hot. The claw foot tub, while cool in the pictures, is outdated. It wasn't a problem for us to get in and out of, but for anyone with balance, flexibility or leg issues, it's not gonna happen. The shower curtain that's attached to the ceiling is about to come out of its mounts. The floor area under the front part of the tub is sinking so the tub is unlevel and someone had put a shim underneath one leg to help but it was still wobbling. You can tell that the subfloor is bad underneath in areas-it's just been covered up by new flooring.
A day after arrival, I realized that the toilet was loose from the floor--really loose--and noticed a bit of water coming from underneath the toilet itself. Having installed toilets before, I know this is not good. I notified the owner. The response was 'Thanks for the note". So I guess we put up with dirty toilet water on the bathroom floor for a few days?? When we took the sheets off the bed as instructed, there was a large urine stain on the mattress cover. The linens certainly weren't fresh when we arrived. This place needs work and cleaning We won't be staying here again.

Cute!
Property was walkable to a lot of restaurants and shopping. It was cute and comfortable. It was a little hot so it was hard to stay cool at night. But overall very good place to stay!

Cozy and had what we needed
Was a little surprised walking in the door (once we finally found parking) that it was a bit more dated than the vibe from the pictures. The place had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. Communication with host was great-immediate responses to any question. Parking in the area was tough, but not at the fault of the property. The setup utilized the space very well.

Denver stay
The kitchen could have been better organized. I had to buy trays for the oven. The heating was very erratic . Also the water pressure in the bathroom was very low on hot. I guess these are expected in a very old building.

We stayed here while attending the Craft Brewers Conference at the convention center. The location was a nice walk and there were plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. The bathroom between two bedrooms is awkward but the rest of the unit was very nice. We cooked some good meals and enjoyed our time. I would stay here again.

Great apartment
Perfect location near public transportation, grocery stores, and great restaurants. The home is well supplied for additional comfort.

Pros:
Nightlife and bars just a block or two over.
The beds were very comfortable!
Did like that there was a gated and locked entrance to the condo building.
For the most part the condo was very clean.
Another review said it was loud outside during the night, but it was fairly quiet for us.
Location was great and was close to most things we wanted.
Cons:
We were there in the middle of July, so it was hot. This apartment only has 1 window AC unit that was in the corner of the living room (farthest from bedrooms and kitchen) . We had it on as low as it would go and the living room probably only got down to 75 whereas the bedrooms stayed horribly hot especially at night when the doors were shut. I would recommend getting window units for the bedrooms.
The shower curtain in the bath, was pink and gross at the bottom and needs to be cleaned or replaced (rest of the condo was very clean).
Parking was a huge issue. Street parking was always taken and any parking garage we found closed at night and you couldn't park there. Many nights we ended up parking almost a mile away and having to walk.

Condo, downtown Denver.
Pros: great Location, we walked to the Denver Art museum & History CO center.
Also--Historical building and the Condo is close to my son's apartment in Denver. 2 bedroom is nice.
Cons: No cold water in the bathroom & very difficult to climb into tub for the shower...
Area was very noisy at night--Motorcycles racing & someone talking loudly in the courtyard, or street at 2:00am.
Thank you.

Centrally located to allow family to immerse into neighborhoods. Plan for first Friday of month street cleaning on north side street parking on 11th. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic feel. Loved having everything within walking distance. Even though so many things were closed we were able to explore and find a few places that were open. We got to see the aquarium too. Fun all the way around

This property was excellent from the check in process to location to communication with the owner. We came to Denver for my fiancé’s birthday and this was the perfect place to crash after long days and the street is pretty quiet so we were able to sleep in every morning. Would definitely stay here again!

I wasn't impressed with the location. Unless you plan on going to Trader Joe's and cooking, there are not a lot of options for eating and shopping nearby. I left a day early because I was uncomfortable in the area.
