OCEANFRONT! OUTER BANKS CENTRAL LOCATION. Just a mile and a half from the Wright Memorial Bridge. Steps to the ocean from dune deck dining area overlooking the beach ***SOUTHERN SHORES has PRIVATE BEACHES only for residents and their guests/renters. Consequently, the beach areas are not crowded.*** ***Private home with convenient CENTRAL location for visiting sites to the north (Duck, Corolla and off road north beaches) OR south (Wright Brothers, Nags Head, Lost Colony and sound/sea excursions).*** CUSTOM OCEANFRONT HOME with hexagonal open ceiling (cypress) in main house area with views of the ocean from the great room with adjoining dining area. The well equipped kitchen provides plenty of space to create meals and orchestrate morning coffee (drip coffee maker & Keurig).*** THE MAIN UPPER LEVEL is accessible from either the lower level entrance off the driveway carport or from the upstairs front porch to the home's foyer.*** An outside ramped walkway (NOTE: not ADA compliant due to steep slope) from the front of the house to the ocean side (back) of the property provides direct access to the dune top deck and to the upstairs main living area of the home and oceanfront deck, WITHOUT ANY STEPS. This has been useful to guests who have difficulty with steps and also for aging four footed furry family members!*** MAIN LEVEL LAUNDRY AREA is stocked with all the linens you will need for your visit (100% cotton sheets for all beds, bath towels & BEACH TOWELS).*** DECKS, HOUSE AND DUNE, provide panoramic views and multiple sitting areas to enjoy the 360 degree vista. There is a shaded lower level deck with table and chairs, barbecue grills (gas and charcoal) and an outside shower. Umbrellas, both deck and beach, beach chairs, boogie boards and 2 ocean kayaks are supplied as well.*** LOWER LEVEL has pool table and flat screen TV providing kids (young and old) a place to play.*** SEPARATE SLEEPING WINGS! ***The private master bedroom (north wing) with king bed has a large picture window overlooking the ocean. The master bathroom has mosaic glass tile, dual spray shower, Jacuzzi (TM) tub, vessel sink and modern finishes making this bath a retreat to look forward to.*** ***The private (south wing) has two bedrooms (1w/ king & 1w/ double & twin) and 2nd bathroom with tub/shower combination. ***

Family of 4 drove down from Michigan to see the ocean and explore the area during mid winter break. Knowing that the time we visited would still be the islands "off time", we sought a cottage that would allow us to not only be a tourist but also a family experiencing some real, authentic down-time. Seascape Cottage was everything we hoped it would be and so much more. First, the home is nothing less than immaculate! Clean, inviting, well maintained, spacious, private, ocean front (literally steps from the water) and everything that the pictures portray. Everything was thought of: piano, rock & treasure cabinet, library with books to borrow, laundry room stocked with linens, kitchen ready for cooking...every detail was obviously carefully thought of and ready for us. We LOVED the architecture and viewing deck. Sunrises were spectacular and moving! We walked back and forth on the beach - from the Kitty Hawk pier to cottage numerous times, finding shells and watching black pelicans dive. The cottage sits in the most convenient location: aprox. 30 minutes to Corolla (wild horses & beaches)/30 minutes to Roanoke Island (aquarium & downtown Manteo). It was a 15 minute drive to The Wright Brothers Memorial, Duck boardwalk shopping and basically within 5 minute drive of any store or coffee shop you wanted to patron. Our stay was so excellent and we thank the owners for allowing us to have such a lovely opportunity to stay in their rental. We left rested and inspired!

The place was perfect !! We've rented homes for over 30 yrs, and we enjoyed Sea Scape more than any place we've ever stayed. Between the design, the exceptional cleanliness and feeling like home, but right on the ocean,we will be back !! Perfect !!

We have stayed at this property before and loved it, but it had been awhile due to availability/scheduling conflicts. IT WAS SO GOOD TO BE BACK! We liked it before but were impressed with upgrades that made it even better! We highly recommend this property and will hopefully be able to schedule again soon.

Have done the Outer Banks off and on since 1978. Have been hi hotels and various beach houses. I must say this was one of, if not, the best place we stayed. Our puppy enjoyed the residence as well. Well-appointed and stocked with about everything one could use. Communications with owner superb. Highly recommend.

This house was PERFECT for our impromptu new year get away! It was the cleanest rental I believe I have ever rented! The photos do not do this place justice! Big rooms, big enclosed deck, just steps from the waters edge! The dogs enjoyed the property just as much as we did! Given the opportunity we would most definitely rent this home again! A+ RENTAL, LOCATION AND VIEWS!

This is our third visit to Seascape Cottage and loved it as much as we did in the past. The house is impeccably clean and very comfortable. The owner is very nice, accessible, and responsive. Love the dune deck!

Seascape Cottage has been our FALL getaway for many years now. It is perfectly located for us between Duck and Kitty Hawk. Being retired seniors, we enjoy beach front for our long walks by the ocean, our wine on the deck with its beautiful view,yet close to places to eat and shop!!

Seascape Cottage was the perfect vaca home for a much needed respite from the daily grind. The location, Southern Shores/Kitty Hawk, was convenient for exploring the obx from Corolla to Hatteras Village. The owner, Ann and ger husband, even spent time after TS Ophelia cleaning up the boardwalk to the beach.
Ann was great at communicating with us upto and during our stay. Check in was easy and the home was so welcoming. We hope to stay there again in the future.

We loved the relative privacy of this place tucked back behind the dunes with some trees buffering the neighbors. The ocean is so close you can hear the waves, which is all I ever want in a beach house. Thoughtfully stocked with games, books, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, outdoor BBQ, and every possible kitchen accoutrement. We will be back!

This was the perfect house for our beach vacation. Being right on the beach with private access made it so special. The location of the house is great, near restaurants and many local activities. The host has made this beach house into a wonderful beach home, with every detail you could think of, even a gate at the end of the deck to keep the dogs and little ones safe. Well-supplied kitchen and a storage shed stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Already looking at our calendars to plan our next stay. Spotless, not even a grain of sand anywhere (inside, that is!). Thank you!

We were a family of 5 adults who gathered from 3 separate locations. We have repeatedly chosen the outer banks in the past and this house is by far our favorite in every way. It has a perfect location, barely up the Duck road so the traffic is minimal. It is set near the dunes with a deck for seeing/experiencing the ocean , it is near the stores you may need to visit, it is near an electric car charging station, and it has many items that its visitors may need. The “sports closet” has umbrellas, chairs, toys, life vests for all ages, and kayaks if that’s your thing. The dining area is perfect for puzzles and games, the outdoor sitting and eating areas are comfy, and the outdoor wash down spots and shower all function well. Downstairs is an additional fridge and a pool table although we did not play pool. There were tons of beach towels so no need to bring those, either. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this home!!

When we arrived we were very pleased to walk into a beautiful beach home! Everything you needed was provided. Amazing views from dune top deck! Really appreciated the ramp from front to back. Would definitely stay here again! Amazing place at the beach.

The house was great and had everything we needed, towels, sheets, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, etc. It was nice the way it was set up so my wife and kids and I were on one side and did not disrupt my in-laws on the other side. Primary bedroom was beautiful with large windows facing the ocean. Pet friendly and safe with gates at the deck to keep dogs and little ones contained. Really enjoyed the house.

One of the cleanest places we’ve stayed. Absolutely wonderful home, full of everything you could possibly need. Fantastic location, great views, dune deck on the beach, as secluded as it can get with the landscaping. Nice and quiet location (time of year probably helped that too). Loved the three headed shower (husband isn’t as thrilled since I’m now demanding one). Our dog definitely enjoyed the getaway as well. It was just us three, but perfect place for a family with multiple people—plenty of room to spread out. I had a question and the owner responded very quickly. Our favorite place to have stayed! We would come back in a heartbeat.

We had a great time during our stay at Seascape Cottage! The view of the ocean is spectacular, the sunrises are breathtaking, and it was a treat to see the dolphins, osprey, and the constant parade of pelicans. The deck was large and enclosed for our dog, and there is a ramp that provides a good alternative for anyone who needs to avoid climbing stairs to access the house. The location is close to golf courses, grocery stores, and restaurants. The layout includes two wings, so our guests could have their own section of the house, and the kitchen is newly renovated and well-equipped. Ann is an attentive and helpful owner. In summary, Seascape Cottage had everything that we were looking for!

Location Location! This house was exactly as advertised, Ann has such a special place ! Went with my husband and 2 18 year olds…daughter and her friend. We all had plenty of space and having opposite wings gave wonderful privacy when needed. Everything was clean, comfortable.. we wanted for nothing! Fully stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable week. The decks leading to the beach were stunning.. it felt like our own private beach every time we stepped out. A great jumping off point to explore all parts of the OBX. Easy day trips to the 4x4 beaches of Carolla all the way to the other end with a ferry to Okracoke. The house is perfectly located and you just cannot beat walking out directly to the beach. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

Great location! The description was right on! We saw hundreds of Pelicans and dozens of dolphins (porpus). The sea kayaks were great, the sunrise was stunning! The deck out to the beach is phenomenal.

We spent the Xmas week at Southern Shores in the very well equated beach house.
There were 4 adults and one teen and we all had plenary of room to spread out and come together as a family to celebrate the holidays.
It’s right on the beach , so early AM beach walks , sunrise watching, wave gazing happened every day. Beach runs and shells collecting.. and set also 3 mins from

Take sights we wanted to explore. It’s really a perfect location for an OBX vacation.

You will not be disappointed with your trip here! The beach is just a few steps away and we loved sitting on both decks watching the sun come up and the waves roll in. The house is spacious, well stocked and cozy. We would love to come back for a longer stay!

This home is amazing. The location is great, it has amazing decks and walkways, inside is roomy with a great layout, has a well stocked kitchen, and the beach is right there. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful.

We have stayed at SeaScape several times and it is our favorite place on the Outer Banks. Besides being centrally located and close to anything we want to do, it is a cozy retreat by the ocean. We always go off-season, we just like being right on the ocean with direct access to the beach. It has a deck out on the dunes where we sit with a glass of wine and just enjoy the view. The home is always clean, has plenty of linens, the kitchen has everything we might need, and we love the cozy feel.

That didn't happen, due to illnesses. Just the two of us and our sweet Golden Retriever. (who wasn't able to get in the sand or the water due to ear issue). So , what did we do? Caught up on reading, snuggled in during the 5 days of clouds and rain, and spent the other 2 days in the sun! We'll be back next year! And thank you for sharing your lovely home!

This was our second stay at Seascape, and not by accident. We were wowed the first time, and improvements since then made it even better. We virtually lived on the dune deck, but when we did come in, the kitchen is lovely, the design of the house makes it perfect for two couples (lots of privacy), and the views are outstanding. On top of all that, Ann is such a pleasure to deal with. I don't know for sure when we'll get to the Outer Banks again, but it will have to be a time this cottage is available. Glorious week.

Porch overlooking the beach, just as we wanted.
House is beautifully furnished and stocked, plenty of space, perfectly clean and maintained.
Appliances in like-new order, plumbing better than what we have at our regular home, 2-zone AC.
5 minute drive to several supermarkets and all other stores.
Beach not crowded at all, people are nice, nobody objected our dog.
Only one problem: getting takeout food was tough in August because seasonal workers left for school.
We will definitely consider booking again in future.

This is our second summer stay at Seaside Cottage! It was as amazing as we remembered and super comfortable. The beach was really nice with active surf. The layout of this particular home is perfect for our family as the master has its own wing and the other 2 bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house. Enough space for all! We cooked at the house a few nights and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Ann is a gracious host and has a beautiful home.
