The property was even better than pictured as the wide variety of flowers and vegetation was fantastic. There were lime and banana trees, multiple varieties of plumeria and other trees. The accommodations were perfect for our party of 9, each couple/person had their own room with bath. The home and cottages were spacious, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

Our family of 14 spent time on Maui at the Banyan Tree Bed & Breakfast & then on Oahu. Maui was our favorite. The Banyan Tree Bed & Breakfast lends itself to a more relaxing vacation. You are surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii. We spent each evening watching the sun go down sitting next to the pool. There was plenty of room to meet together, but also plenty of room for a large party to have privacy. We were surprised that the sun was down by 7:30 p.m. This led us to going to bed early & waking up early to the sound of many birds and wildlife as well as the chickens by 5:30 a.m. You should be aware that you need to bring your own coffee pods for the keurig & paper towels (1 provided). There is a large washer and dryer on the property with furnished detergent, but you are asked to pay $6 a load. There is no breakfast provided, but in Makawao just a minute or two away there is an outstanding bakery, Komoda Bakery. There is no air conditioner which took some getting used to. However, each room has a fan. By the time the sun went down it surprisingly was a little chilly. We opened the doors and windows and enjoyed the breeze through our rooms. The property is older, but is very clean. Our host Helaina & her husband live next door to the property & were quick to respond to questions & needs. The house is centrally located which made it easy to go anywhere on the island. We loved how relaxing & peaceful our time was at the Banyan Tree Bed and Breakfast and would highly recommend it!

As opposed to a traditional party, we rented this property for a long weekend and our entire family was able to relax, eat, drink, and enjoy time together! I knew it would be fun, but it surpassed my expectations. It matched our style and speed perfectly. The hosts were available and responsive to every question we had. We had a blast and made beautiful memories. I would do it again in a heartbeat when my next son graduates from High School! Thank you Banyan Tree Bed & Breakfast.

Property had an old Hawaii feel, entire home was very clean and stocked with everything you would need at a home away from home. Property manager was very kind and responsive to anything we needed. Over all we could not have ask for a better place to enjoy a relaxing family vacation. I would definitely recommend Banyan tree inn and will will be back if ever needing a place to stay in maui. A wonderful historic property with plenty of room for active kids - We enjoyed catching up with each other while the kids played soccer & ping pong. Everyone enjoyed the pool. A great base from which to explore beaches & the local towns. Helaina was welcoming & available if we needed anything. It was a much more authentic experience than staying in a resort or condo. Would definitely stay again.

We had an amazing stay with our friends/family the week of our wedding! The property is gorgeous and everyone had plenty of space to spread out! We really enjoyed the hot tub and views and being able to walk to Makawao town for brunch. Helaina was so friendly when we met her at check-in. Would highly recommend this place for a big group!

Our 12 person 3 generation group loved our time here. Space to be together, space to be alone, ping pong and games, a beautiful pool with an ocean view and a fantastic kitchen to cook in. Fun to be in Makawao and a great central location to access the Island. Wonderful hosts, too.

We had a great stay and the property was as described. I would have given 5 stars but the lacks of towels (2 for 2 and 3 beds- for a week) and the lack of enough blankets made us need to use beach towels we brought for showers and use blankets from rooms we didn’t use. Also, more info about amenities would have been helpful. There are kuerigs available but you cannot purchase pods in either Paia or Makawao and there are no filters with the drip machine. No problem… would have used a paper towel till I could but some, but there are no paper towels. Hot tub needed cleaning so we didn’t use. Pool was lovely and the location and charm of the property is lovely. Halaina and her family were very nice.

We had a group of 11 stay at the property for four nights. It was a terrific location and there was more than enough space for our group to enjoy family time together but also retreat to our own spaces. The pool and grounds were amazing. Loved all the fruit trees, rope swing, corn hole, ping pong, etc. Great location with easy access to Makawao town. Would definitely recommend!!!

This was a wonderful place for children and adults. The location was great for access to everything Maui had to offer and the amenities on the property were appropriate, and enjoyed, by children from 6 to 17 as well as all of the 6 adults in our party.

Helena and her family were very accommodating and welcoming. They made our stay easy and enjoyable. The property was clean, comfortable, spacious and gorgeous. Our group of 12 had a blast here. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Thank you! From the Gale/Hutchison party.

The Plantation was an experience we couldn’t imagine. Temperatures on the side of the mountain were perfect as was the swimming pool. The central location couldn’t be beat The Hana highway was at our doorstep as was Haleakala.The only problem was the lush grounds were hard to leave.Thank you for making our 55 wedding Anniversary special. The pictures of the property do not do this rental justice. It’s a slice of paradise. The owners are prompt to answer any questions you might have. We had a group of 11 and there 2 units not used. You could not ask for a better setup for a large group. If I go back to Maui this is where I would stay. You can get to every place on the island in an hour. Loved it!!

The house was wonderful . That old age charm and comfort . Grounds are beautiful and relaxing . The pool needs attention and laundry area was not clean and was unkempt. There could have been dish towels in the kitchen and scrub sponges and better organized and equipped . Maybe put dressers in the bedrooms to put clothes into . All this said I would rent it again .

Each family had their own sleeping quarters and the main house was get for family meals. It was also close to the beaches and shopping.

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, unique and well located. Everything was clean and the property owner was very responsive in taking care of anything we needed. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and the views were incredible!

We rented the entire property for an anniversary celebration with 13 people. Each room had the perfect accommodations and space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and clean. Don’t be turned away because of no AC. We needed extra blankets before morning! The home is surrounded by quaint small towns. Thank you for being such lovely hosts.
