This is a great, secluded location. Perfect for relaxing and unplugging and great location for hiking in the area. It's in a neighborhood but far enough off the main road that you don't see any neighbors. It's a good 15 miles from the nearest store so just make sure you bring all your food and beverages and screenshot entry instructions since phone service is limited but wifi available once you get in. Cabin is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking and a great BBQ for grilling. The host was wonderful and very accommodating to any issues we encountered. I'm assuming most don't come to watch TV but if you are planning to watch any movies on the smart TV, it's very small (think computer monitor size). If you sleep in the loft, the bed is super comfy but if you don't like to wake with the sun, I recommend bringing a sleeping mask - views from those gorgeous front windows don't come without a price. Also, the bathroom is downstairs if you happen to need to go in the middle of the night just keep your safety in mind ;-) There is a bedroom downstairs that doesn't have the issue with morning light but the bigger bed is upstairs. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

This is the third time my cats and I have left the heat of Phoenix for a week to escape to this wonderful corner of the national forest. They get to watch the birds and squirrels out the windows while I hike and rock climb in the area. This year we were almost derailed by the Brady fire, but persevered and I am so glad we did. Gabriel kept in great communication about closures, etc, and we ended up getting good storms so there was no smoke or any concerns about evacuation. Thanks again for sharing this great little spot with me!

Such an awesome little cabin! Gabe made sure our arrival and check in were seemless. My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing get away and that is what we found. We went on hikes each day, enjoyed home cooked dinners and read books on the patio. We will definitely be back!

Your host makes all the difference and in this case, Gabe was a perfect example. He was super accommodating, very easy to communicate with and helpful at every turn. The property was just as advertised. The location was remote but worth the drive. The nearby hiking (Colonel Devin's trail) was worth everything! I highly recommend this property and thank Gabe for his hospitality and help.

... that's what we heard the first evening we sat outside on the deck. After dark we went inside but left the screen door open. Glad we did as an Elk bugled nearby and gave us a thrill that night. It is remote, but the road to get there is gravel and well maintained, at least in the summer when we visited. Left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Don't forget to check out the Tonto Natural Bridge while you're here. It's less then an hour away and it's awesome!

Although this cabin is in a neighborhood, it feels secluded which is exactly what we were looking for! The kitchen is well stocked and our dogs enjoyed all the new smells in the woods. We had a great time!

This place is absolutely perfect. Tucked away and super quiet, it’s the best place to get away and escape. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and will definitely be booking another weekend again!

LOVE this cabin! A little hard to find but once you do - it's awesome! You feel like you are in the forest but there are neighbors, but the cabin is surrounded by trees.. The cabin was clean but the coffee pot (Krupps) was pretty scaled up and corners not clean on the floor. LOVE the coffee choices! The picnic table on the deck was pretty rickety but ok. Definitely a good experience. No cable but a smart TV. We will definately be back! The owner was awesome!

Great rental to get away from city relax on patio and also can find activities nearby for some adventures. Our dog loved it and so did we. Well stocked cabin with baseboard heat and a fantastic wood burning stove.

This cabin is a true treasure. Tucked away in a beautiful wooded area with nature all around, beautiful place to unplug and relax. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and the host was excellent at communications road conditions and instructions.

The cabin is beautiful, and Gabriel is super responsive and helpful. The location up against the national forest makes the experience truly special. We hope to come back soon!

Lovely scenic area. Host was exceptionally kind and helpful. Elevation is 5000+ feet. There is a river nearby to walk to and numerous hiking trails. Cabin is somewhat secluded, however, if you walk down the driveway… There are many friendly neighbors. Place was immaculate and welcoming when we arrived.

The family needed to detach from society for a few days. This cabin was what we needed.

We had a wonderful time staying here! This place was so cute and tucked away in the woods, giving it a super cozy feel where we could relax and slow down. The pup loves his woodsy walks and we loved the Christmas feel with all the decor. Our only issue was the smart TV didn’t work, so we couldn’t steam the movies we had planned to watch. But overall, it was perfect and we’d definitely stay again! Thank you!

This was the perfect getaway for my mom, daughter, pups and me. We cooked a small Thanksgiving dinner, played games, did some crafts, and enjoyed the great outdoors. We had an amazing time. I love how private the property was, with all the natural light and the solitude. We sincerely hope we will be back sooner rather than later!

The property is well kept with the feeling of visiting a family cabin. It's in a great location that feels safe and comfortable. If you like to go for scenic walks in the woods or on trails without many people around, this is the place to be. The couch and mattress are passed their prime and some overhead light and fan cleaning would give it quite bit more comfort and appeal. Overall, we would stay here again.

Very cute and cozy cabin, an awesome weekend getaway. We felt very safe and comfortable. There is no service and google map only gets you partially there, so make sure you screenshot/save the step by step direction Gilbert sends you. Hopefully will be going back very soon.

The whole process was stress free. Easy to find with google maps and address. Beautiful well-kept cabin. Enjoyed every minute. Gabriel was always available when needed.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at this property. Gabe is an excellent host with a lot of class. The design of the house makes the most of a beautiful lot and unless you look closely, you won't see your nearest neighbors house. The layout of the building is well thought out and the view out the big picture window is beautiful. With great views of nature out all the windows it feels like your camping but in a nice comfortable cabin. The beds were very comfortable. The big stove is high quality and easy to use. We will definitely be back again!

We went up for our 25th Wedding anniversary! Gabriel had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Pictures does not do this Cabin justice! The cabin is very nice inside and out! Very clean as well! We slept in bed that was in the loft and it was very comfortable! The cabin has everything you need while you’re there except for your food items. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. We saw elk and deer when we were there. Gabriel came over himself to assist me on getting the WiFi set up! He responds very quickly and is always willing to assist when you have any issues. I highly recommend this cabin! I know that my husband and I will definitely be back in the future! Thank you so much Gabriel for letting us enjoy your beautiful cabin, we had a great time!

What an idealic spot in the woods! We loved the remote location of this cabin. We greatly appreciated that we could bring our two dogs with us. They had a blast playing in the East Verde River up the street at Washington Park. You will find lots of peace and quiet here, however we were bummed to hear so many ATVs on our Saturday night stay. The main bedroom is in the loft, which unfortunately was brutally hot during our stay in July. However, the bedroom was a nice space overall and very clean and comfortable. I chose to stick it out in the heat because the room was so cozy, while my boyfriend slept downstairs on the spare bed. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and already miss those woods!
