We are also asking any guests who travel outside of the country within a month prior to check-in to inform us so that we may comprehensively assess the situation *** Charming cottage in quiet setting close to the lake in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. 2 bedrooms; both with a queen size bed. High quality linens provided. Full bathroom with tiled shower with glass doors. Hairdryer in bathroom. Comfortable living room with cozy gas stove for the winter months. Wireless internet. Newly refinished hardwood floors. New stainless steel appliances in fully-stocked kitchen. Backyard patio has gas barbecue and 4 outdoor chairs with tables. Beautifully landscaped property. Garage available for parking. One block to lake. Non smoking. Due to the damage to property and the cottage we no longer allow pets on this property; apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

We stay in the Niagara area several times a year. This was by far one of our favourite spots to stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. It was a bit cold so we didn’t walk into town, however in the nicer weather it’s just a few minutes walk. The owners came by one day and shoveled and salted the walk and driveway. We will definitely be back.

A very clean, well kept cottage in a beautiful, quiet area in NOTL. Everything you might need is there. We stayed for 3 nights for our 40th wedding anniversary. We would definitely stay again. Thank-you Peter and Debra.

An outstanding cozy, comfortable little cottage. Absolutely perfect for my wife and I. 5 minute walk to the main street. 2 minute walk to the water. Convenience and comfort personified. Can't wait to come back.

We had a great weekend stay at this cute cottage. It is a short walk to the lake and also to the main street where there are fantastic restaurants and shops. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the hosts were very responsive. Highly recommend!

“Watch step” does not fully describe the vault an older person needs to achieve to get into the house! My husband fell with suitcases in hand causing three open wounds in his leg. I’m surprised it passed inspection for a rental property.

We had an amazing stay, close distance to the water and to Niagara on the Lake. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Peter and Debra were very responsive and wonderful hosts. Highly recommend!

This was our first time staying south of the main business area and we loved it. Quieter but just as convenient. Cottage is lovely and spotlessly clean. Beautiful landscaping.

Small house in a nice area. Rooms smelled stale similar to urine. Area is nice and close to a cute tourist town. Owners were nice but knocked on the door and came in the middle of our stay to “check in” which seemed a little strange to me. Unlikely to stay at same property on revisit.

We were a group of 3 who needed somewhere close to the yacht club to stay during a sailing competition. The location for the club and the Main Street was perfect.

Hawsepiper cottage was awesome! We felt right at home. Our hosts, Peter and Debra, were fantastic. We enjoyed a few days in NOTL visiting a few vineyards and cycling in the region. We really enjoyed our stay!

The cottage was a great find. The online pictures really don't so it justice. We booked 2 nights as a halfway point between Iowa and Maine, thinking that Niagara Falls would be a great attraction. The falls were amazing, and about 25 minutes away. We had no idea, however, that NOTL would be the star of the show with its shops and pubs and location on Lake Ontario, and the cottage was only a few blocks away from the heart of it. We should have booked an additional day.
The house was comfortable for three of us, and immaculately clean and well supplied. It would be a great stay for a couple, or a small family. I highly recommend it.

A great trip and staying in the cottage for a week was perfect. The cottage was close to downtown and the lake so easy walking.
No washer and dryer but we managed.

We loved our stay at the cottage :-) Such a cute property and the hosts made our stay so comfortable. The proximity to downtown was excellent, providing unique shopping opportunities and access to delicious restaurants. Mostly, we loved the short walk down to the beach in the morning, while ending the day by watching the sunset on the beach in the evening. Everyone we met, while shopping in town and on our walks, were so friendly and kind. We were greeted at wineries by gracious staff, who poured us some of the most stellar wines of the region!
Thank you for making this such a fun and relaxing girls trip. We will be back!!

We loved this home away from home and hope to return. The location is excellent - close to the water and to the main shopping district. The furniture was comfortable; the kitchen well equipped; the bathroom had a full shower and lots of towels; the beds were very comfortable and the linens were high quality; off street parking. I would highly recommend this property.

Close to the water, close to town; this tastefully decorated house was just the place for a weekend getaway. The hosts were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
