About this house rental

We are sorry to say no pets. We love the animals but we simply have had too many issues. This 3 bedroom vacation home is a combination of the main house and a SEPARATE STUDIO. Please Note: The base rate is for the main house only. The main house is 2 bedroom, one King bed and one with a queen bed, 2 full bathrooms, SLEEPS 4 and the BASE NIGHTLY RATE COVERS UP TO 2 guests. The site will adjust the nightly price for additional guests. The studio is also available for you to rent if you have the need for a 5th or 6th person or just need 3 beds for the 4 of you. . NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY OR BEACH. The ATTACHED STUDIO has a separate entrance up top and is available for groups of 5 or 6. Total 6 people for the house at any time. The studio has a Tempur Pedic King along with a full kitchen and full bathroom. The studio is exposed to Hwy 101 so not recommended for light sleepers. The Main house is insulated by the studio and a stairwell. The design is great and we do not hear anything but the Seals talking out in the water. The house has a set of 12 stairs that brings you from the carport entry to the main floor, kitchen, living room and deck. The studio has outside stairs, about 12, from the carport up to the entrance. If any occupant has difficulty with stairs this may not be the best home for your stay. We ask if you drive a EV please let us know as a utility charge must be paid depending on your length of stay. The area has high rates that escalate as we consume more power. It is time to step back, kick off those shoes, take off that tie, grab a glass of wine or cup of hot tea and enjoy one of the most spectacular views imaginable. Relax in the most romantic places on the Emerald Northwest. Endless views, a sweeping deck that over hangs the tidelands with a dock to the water, watch otters play, seals and eagles just about in every direction. This is the exact location where the Dosewallips river feeds the salt water ocean ( they say - when fresh water rivers feed salt water oceans - life is most abundant and rich). Sit back and listen to the sound of the rivers greeting the tides of the ocean. A Magical place in paradise where you can go exploring at many nearby State Parks, Kayaking, Canoeing, hiking, water sunrises and best of all- low tides to walks. Sit on the deck or inside to be greeted by amazing sunrise. Enjoy Kayaks, 4 of them, o when the waters on the Hood Canal reach high tide and are calm. Life preservers are provided in different sizes in the shed on our dock. Take a hike outside your door to some of the most romantic, magical walks in the Pacific Northwest. If you are a family or just a couple in need of a getaway then this is the perfect place to relax. Eat fresh Oysters or clams just a few miles away while listening to live music on weekends at the Hama Hama Saloon. Walk to a local tavern or simply stay put and enjoy a million dollar view with everything this home has to offer all around you. Life does not get any better. There are two Visitor Centers with detailed maps and up-to-date information about the Olympic National Forest and Olympic National Park This is the eastern access to all these amazing natural places, abundant with amazing scenery, all levels of hiking trails that can lead you through the entire Park for a week of trekking, or a short round-trip with a picnic. Falls View Park and waterfall, Wildlife Viewing Platform, Mount Walker viewpoint and many other wonderful scenic outings all within a few minutes' drive. Windows in every direction, expansive deck that hangs over the water for big views. Big space to enjoy a family of 6 -8 comfortably. Olympic national forest is near your doorstep. Home to Otters, seals, Elk, Osprey, Kingfish and Bald eagles. During Summer peak season reservations for three night stays are available. Look for dates to capture some of the most magical full moon views.

We were really disappointed for the cost. The tile floors are absolutely filthy, it’s nearly impossible to get down to the beach especially with little kids, and there’s nothing to do in the area. We went home a day early.

The house is wonderful. Very spacious, filled with light, comfortable beds, and a large deck with a view of the mouth of the Dosewallips River. Without leaving the deck I watched a huge run of pink salmon approach the mouth of he river, only to be intercepted by over 60 seals, several bald eagles, and even a coyote. The changing landscape from low to high tide brought different creatures and their interactions, including elk, vultures and kingfishers. It was mesmerizing. A short walk to the riverbank offered a chance to see the salmon fight their way up the rapids. Having such a comfortable high -class residence with Nature in such close proximity was my idea of bliss.

My family enjoyed our stay here and took full advantage of the kayaks and proximity to the water. When the tide is out, we were able to explore as the beach area wasn’t gross and oystery like other places we’ve stayed; just a bit muddy/mucky in places. This is a huge plus with children! House was a described. Clean and has a/c which was a relief in the 90 degree heat. Owner was very responsive.

Puget Sound Getaway
Puget Sound Getaway
Great property for a Puget Sound getaway! The property has beautiful peaceful views, a great deck, roomy kitchen, nice yard, nice water access, and is close to hiking and other beautiful Puget Sound locations. One day we paddled in front of the house and saw numerous wildlife - seals, otter, eagles, deer. We saw a heard of Elk at the state park across the road. One day we drove 45 minutes to Cushman lake to paddle. One day we went to Lake Crescent. We had a great time!

Great time in Brinnon
Great time in Brinnon
The house was very large and accommodations were perfect for our family of four. We made good use of the games, water access and Kayaks that were included with the rental. Some of our day trips were a long drive from the house but I always looked forward to getting back there and spending more time on the deck taking in the amazing views of the canal and Mount Rainer in the distance. Communication with Tom and Mary was very easy. I only needed them once at the start and from there it was smooth relaxing vacation.

First off- communication with Tom was prompt and courteous! This home is a must visit for your vacation. Master bedroom/on-suite was very large and comfortable. View out to the water amazing from bed! We found the mattress and linen extremely comfortable!!! The gardens at this home are absolutely enchanting! I didn’t get tired of looking at them. Large deck, with (2) additional decks below. I would often sit at the middle deck with my binoculars in hand. So much wildlife to enjoy. Eagles, heron, kingfisher, otters, seals & a raccoon that would visit Tom & Mary’s strawberries daily (so cute)! Visited Mt. Walker viewpoint - definitely worth the trip - amazing views and encountered so many friendly people that we visited with! We spent most of our time on the deck relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Would definitely visit this home again and recommend to friends. Thank you again Tom & Mary for sharing your lovely property with us!!
