This was a beautiful property, with a great pasture behind the house full of cows. The owner was very prompt and attentive when I had to message him. Despite the rain on the days of our trip it was an enjoyable experience and I’d happy rent this property again in the winter so we can utilize the wood stove.

Overall, I thought this property was very nice. Plenty of land to explore in a quiet area with no almost no neighbors. Host responded quickly to any questions I had and was very friendly.

My family and I had an amazing time at this house and we will be back in the future! It was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with useful appliances and utensils, dishes, etc. We had 5 kids with us (ages ranging from 3 months - 4 years) and there was plenty of space for them to play and run around! The host, Marius, was very quick to answer any questions and very accommodating. He allowed us to check in early and check out late. The views were beautiful and we loved the privacy of the property. I would 100% recommend for a family getaway.

Theres not much to say about this property besides amazing! Super clean pleanty to do in the house as well as on the property, Marius was really interactive and even let us check in hours before the normal check-in time. Besides relaxing on this beautiful property enjoying the picturesque landscape and mountains, the area also has a lot to offer. Swimming at Frenchmans hole and other spots, eating at all the local breweries and trying more beers then you probably should. This is the spot for the recharge youre looking for. I went with 9 other guys and the house was more than enough to accommodate 10 adults! Hope to be back at some point!

The place looked even better in person than online. Plenty of room and the kids had a blast. Near to so many great outdoor activities, and the owner, Marius, was spectacularly helpful.

This is a lovely property. The setting is fantastic. Every morning, my daughter and I got up early to read and watch the sunrise. We loved the seclusion of the property and beautiful views. We were in need of a place that had plenty of beds and baths. Red Moose Lodge certainly filled the bill. Everyone had room to spread out. We also loved the layout of the house. The kitchen and dining area are both spacious. My husband and I very much appreciated the master bedroom. It had plenty of room and a convenient layout. The master bedroom had a walk in closet and a full bath with an additional counter and sink leading into it. Another great feature is that the property has a garage where you can store gear- skiing or otherwise. As generally happens, I had some questions for Marius. He was incredibly responsive and helpful before, during and after our stay. He also provided great directions to the property. Take seriously the information in the property description regarding having a vehicle that is either 4 wheel drive or has proven itself to be hill worthy in inclement weather. We had one vehicle that did fine and one that needed some coaxing. There was plenty of sand and shovels to help with the problem. We had lots of snow the week we were there, which was delightful. The driveway was plowed in a timely manner after every snow storm. We would most definitely choose to return to the Red Moose Lodge.

With 5 kids under 5 and 6 weary adults this place was the perfect spot for a wallet friendly yet totally close-enough ski weekend. We knew skiing was secondary this trip with all the young kids, so having the hillside for Jr. Skiers and sledders was great. We had the fire-pit going to keep us outside all day. When the adults did ski, it was a quick 20 minutes to slope-side (and lovely drive). Host was great with communication and heads-up about the driveway, which can be slippery but fine with proper car or planning. Inside the house was clean and tidy, and felt nice but not like you had to wear white gloves (again, a plus with 5 toddlers.). Overall just a great spot for younger families or friends reunion at Sunday River or Abram!

The Red Moose house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group of ski team families! Thank you so much for a lovely weekend stay and being so great to communicate with beforehand.

10 of us stayed comfortably in this large mountain home with a gorgeous sunrise view. Plenty of space to spread of if you want some quiet time. We had fun playing ping pong and enjoyed games at a dining table that fit us all. The huge Bluetooth speaker was fun! They should get a microphone for it for karaoke!

I went to the Red Moose with my family and my wife's sisters family, 9 total people. We easily and comfortably slept the entire group. The kitchen was well stocked and it was great to be able to all sit down at the dinning room table and have meals. The great room with the wood stove was a great hangout space. We happened to be at the house when there was a wild storm which knocked out power and dropped 2 to 3 inches of rain. Marius was very easy to communicate with by text, cell service is spotty at the house. We went into Bethel for the afternoon and thankfully power was returned by the time we got back to the house. The next morning when we were leaving we found the entry road flooded out. Marius was once again very communicative, reached out to a neighbor who had a large plow which he used to break up some of the show that was restricting water flow. We were able to leave after a couple of hours of water flow but Marius was ready to allow us to have another night if we were trapped. We would definitely go back to Red Moose. Great property.

We loved this place. It had everything we needed and more. It was off the road so you he piece and quiet and great views of all the mountains. There is very little cell reception here this was a plus in my book as we got to spend so much more time with our family and friends without everyone playing with their phones. The house was super clean and the owner was very responsive to any questions we might have had. We will be staying here again and again if they will have us. Thanks for providing such a great place.

The house was immaculate and had plenty of room for our party of 8 adults. Though we spent most of our time out at wedding events in Bethel, we did cook two meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. Beds were super comfy. We had no issues.

We had a great stay at the red moose lodge and had plenty of space, we couldn’t believe how big the house was in person. The pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was stocked with pots/pans/appliances including dishwasher. The only complaint was that there is no A/C so the first couple nights were hot. The weather cooled down and we had the windows open and slept comfortably after that. The balcony was a great place for star gazing. Lodge was located in a great location that we could enjoy the mountains of Maine as well as drive 2 hours to the coast and enjoy the beach! Host was great at getting back to us about any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future!

I felt it was an adjustment use to talking to an agent. But I was able to adjust with the online communication well.

Our trip had 6 guys in our early 40's for a golf weekend away. The house was huge with more than enough beds and space for all of us to spread out. Location is private and the house is updated and clean. Pics are accurate and we even saw a deer on the drive up the dirt road to the house. It's within 30 minutes of Sunday River and 35 minutes to Oxford Casino. It was a great time at a great place and we'd def stay again.

We had a great stay with our kids & friends at Red Moose in August. The house is spacious & airy with beautiful views out the floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking & there's a propane grill next to the firepit. The TV room/den is a comfy spot to curl up with a book or movie & the kids loved the play area on the lower level. Our hiking highlight was Screw Augur Falls - wear a bathing suit under clothes for a cold plunge & bring a picnic lunch to eat by the water. We would definitely go back in the winter for skiing, it's a short drive to Sunday River. Thanks for hosting Marius!

This a beautiful and clean home that is exactly as it shows in the pictures. Would love to come back and stay again!

This house is perfect for a multi-generation gathering, though if you had elderly/disabled people the stairs could be a challenge as all bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bedroom is HUGE, and two of the three other bedrooms have queen sized beds plus two bunks each. The fourth bedroom has just a queen. But, there are also two single beds in an area of the basement game room. Our group of 10 used all of these sleeping spaces, and the den was great to keep the video games out of the main living room. The dining table seats 10, the kitchen is great for multiple people to work in with both a veggie sink and sinks for dishes. The bar seats 4. In the winter the south facing cathedral windows in the living room would be so cozy, but in a heatwave (our week) they turned that area into a furnace, the sofas were warm even after the sun went down, and the heat radiated to the smaller bedrooms. The nights were warm, so even the tried and true 'open up at night shut down during the day' didn't help, especially since no living room windows open. I would strongly suggest that the owners install some type of window covering for the bottom 8 window section. There is plenty of wall space for it to open completely and not obstruct the view. Besides that, more fans such as whole house fans would be helpful. Not in a heatwave, this house would be absolutely wonderful!!

I went to this house with my family and we had an exceptionally phenomenal time. The house gave us all we need to enjoy a weekend getaway in a relaxing and laid back environment. Me and the family will definitely be back soon, and very much looking forward to it

We wanted a house big enough to host a rotation of visiting family throughout the week and this place was great for that. Ping pong and games were great on the one rainy day. Those living room windows are even more gorgeous in person! The 2 beds I tried were both very comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. We wouldn’t change much about this place, maybe some stronger light bulbs and better ping pong balls, some floaters to use at the town beach which is very shallow. All in all, we’d love to stay here again!

The owner was extremely responsive and made our trip easy. The property is spectacular and the mountain views were stunning. The house is spotless. We enjoyed using the well-equipped kitchen and holding ping pong tournaments in the basement. Close to Bethel and Sunday River but extremely private.
